Game playing better on default

I've played a few games on default all pro and everything seems to play better. I've had a few drops, knock-downs missed passes and s punch out fumble.

A couple of interceptions but not like before and no pick sixes.

Anyone else tried default? I'm wondering if we just need small changes or nothing at all as the game is being thrown out of whack with multiple changes.

Is this after the patch? Or are you just thinking reverting to default after tweaking sliders fixes things? I'm pretty sure we all got slideritis due to things being out of whack with the interceptions in the first place.

I'm thinking of leaving everything at default and then gradually lowering just interceptions.

I think drastic penalty changes have a big effect.

I wasnt having an int problem, until my cfm was in week 1 of regular season.
Prior to that game i had adjust penalties according to a slider thread.

Wonder if this is where things started going sideways for me.

I just played a few games last night on default all pro. First time I have played since the initial trial download (still on my trial hours - but it's the updated version).

Just ran a Packers franchise to see if I could 'be guud' with Rodgers or if I would throw a bunch of picks. First game vs Vikings, Cousins was horrible like 5/17 for 60 yards and 3 picks. Second game vs Bears, Fields was really good. 16/22 for over 200 yards, 3 TDS, 0 ints, and they beat me.

I only threw one pick with Rodgers and it was when I tried to force it coming back against the Bears. Saw a ton of pack breakups on contested catches, 2 fumbles, and a handful of injuries.

After getting the Franchise corruption reset of death, I'm willing to try this, too. Maybe too many slider changes caused even that. I'll keep watch on this thread and chime in if I have really good results.

the problem is getting the CPU to run the ball effectively on Pro

I've tried all kinda sliders to make it happen, but they can't get moving.

Couldn't agree more. I just played a half of unfrustrating football and I can say that's not happened in the two weeks I've been playing.

I turned ball hawk off and I was seeing more swats. Well least in the half I played

Went back to default AP just before the patch and the game does play better, and smoother, for me.

What about us poor saps who go 16-1, 17-0 on All Pro .

Over the years it sounds like All Pro is the difficulty in which the players are truest to their ratings, but Madden gives such large bonuses to users that for some people it ends up being way to easy. Also over the years in order to get the CPU to use as much of its plays and strategies as possible you had to play All Madden.

I am, however, very happy All Pro appears to be working right now.

After fumbling around with extreme sliders I went back to AP with int at 0, pass coverage at 40, and everything else default. It’s been pretty good. I started this before the patch.

I still throw picks, but it’s always my fault.

I’ve come to think that most of the int issues are user error. Coverages are tighter, the pass rush is more aggressive, The cpu jumps routes if you repeat them. It just takes a LOT of getting used to. So I figured I needed to play an easier level until I get used to the improved pass defense.

I tried it. Wow. It was night and day. I went 3 of 9, 0 TD, 0 INT. and then backup went 11 of 21, 1 TD, 0 INT. I started a new franchise to test the first preseason game. It was swat city. The running game feels a lot tougher, but I think given time I could handle it.
