If you’re mixing in cpu/cpu with hum/cpu, don’t skip cut scenes. in pure cpu/cpu mode, you see crazy stuff happen like lots of sacks, picks, long plays when you skip cut scenes. it gets real arcade with cpu/cpu when you slip the cut scenes. years of testing cpu/cpu.



try watching the cutscenes and see if it helps stabilize gameplay.

I will try this and see what happens. I hate the cutscenes tho lol. I know the madden peeps will say make it fun since u paid for it already so I will try. I also feel bad for those with int at 0 to 10 getting decent gameplay. It's like why is that not the norm at default but I digress. Alot of ugly blocking still and AI deer in headlights stuff standing stuck in space. I will continue to dip in an out of Madden when I'm bored with 2k or the show. It's hard tho being a football head and seeing this trash EA gets away with putting out. I love the sport tho so I'm going to try smh

Like I had mentioned earlier in the thread, the INT issues is fixed. It makes the gameplay infinitely better. I don't care that I have to lower the slider. It is what it is. That's why sliders are there.

The CPU run game is also improved. They did something there. They are using special moves and actually trying to avoid being tackled.

In the 4-5 games I've played with various teams I was getting mostly realistic times in the pocket, save for a few times one of my linemen got blown up. Same with the CPU QB. This is on default sliders with just the INT slider set to 1. I did pick off a few passes in those games, but they were realistic for sure. I threw one and it was also realistic.

Mahomes lit me up as the Bills, I did pick him off once because I hit him as he was throwing and he threw a duck. It was actually pretty cool looking.

Whatever they did with this patch overall, it's made the game better for sure. And I am really enjoying it now. And I'm not gonna go looking for problems with it at this point.

I have seen some oddness but you see oddness in the real NFL as well. This patch makes this Madden way more believeable.

People feel how they feel, and my opinion of them means less than nothing of course, but aside from the folks who have a fundamental problem with some of the gameplay design elements, like the momentum meter or Superstar abilities, I am highly suspect of anyone who says that the Gameplay isn't at a minimum very good now in User vs CPU games, if they say it's bad, then there is something else going on with that evaluation.

I had a franchise that was caught in the bug after my second off-season and after the patch it's not reverting me back to the draft... I'm in week 2 now

Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes

I am extremely pleased with this patch. Gameplay wise and franchise mode wise we have a keeper.

I moved back up to All-Pro which prior to this patch was a mess for me. Pro held me over but it began to get as usual a little too easy and predictable.

Lot’s of AI and gameplay improvements were made on this update.

I am in Year 3 of my current Dolphins franchise and both offseasons and drafts have been the best I have ever had in the Madden Series. Logic is tuned better than I have ever seen for a Madden game. Now one caveat to that is I do make sure each team grants their 5th year options to any stud. Period.

But after that….it is on the cpu in my universe to extend them.

And they have. Burrow and Herbert were extended by the CPU.

I love the fact there are big names in free agency though. We never had that previously.

Makes for some high drama and great storylines in the off season.

To each there own.

Madden 23 is now my favorite version of this game next to Madden 16 (my goat).

You know what’s funny….I just finished year 1 of a cpu vs cpu franchise on Madden 21 on pc. I use an auto button presser to skip cut scenes and replays and the gameplay does look a little weird at times when you skip the replays etc.

Very happy with this update. The interception slider is working and they absolutely toned down the superhuman DB’s jumping curl routes and getting 2-3-4 pick 6’s a game vs the CPU.

Huge relief. Now we are testing again to tune it to my preference and also giving All-Pro another shot as that is my preferred level.

Either way I am glad this was addressed. It was a massive wart on an otherwise really solid game of Madden football.
