• Fixed an issue preventing the Interception Gameplay Slider from significantly impacting the catch frequency for defenders.

So, basically this will now do what we were trying to do by lowering defender catch ratings.

• Fixed an issue preventing defenders from playing a knockout in some situations where one was being requested.

Hopefully this will see defenders less likely to go for the interception every time.

Well I can say with 100% certainty the INT slider works. Turned it to 1 for both CPU and human. I threw no picks, and the CPU threw one which was off throwing off his back foot and across his body. This was 12 min quarters.

Defenders dropped a couple and swatted more.

Can second the INTs seem to be fixed. I'm on Matt10's sliders which has INTs at 25 and I have seen several passes that would've been picked dropped or swatted instead.

Going through menus also seems to be much faster post-patch.

I also had a play where I threw to the corner of the endzone, just a regular pass on one on one coverage, and the defender got turned around and couldn't make a play so I caught it for a TD. I'm certain that would have been picked pre-patch.

This sounds good. I played a game last night with the Browns against the Bills and I threw 6 picks and Josh Allen threw 3. In all fairness to myself, I have been playing modded Madden 22 on PC for that last 2 weeks and I had gotten used to the timing of throwing passes on there. 4 of my ints were due to me trying squeeze it into soft spots in zone coverage....which works great on Madden 22 PC but not on NextGen. LBs are too quick and hyper aware and jump every pass. So I am not as bad of a player as 6 interceptions sounds!

But the real point is that every time CPU Josh Allen threw a pick, he was getting pressure and running backward or sideways and throwing off his back foot. This is okay "once in a while" as you deserve to get rewarded for pressuring the QB even when you don;t get a sack. Let's hope the new update alleviates this and the CPU throwing off the back foot feels rewarding rather than cheap. And if it happens once every 3-4 games rather than 2-3 times a game that would be nice.

Two updates in and all defensive players STILL have 0 sacks for the 2021 season. It’s a complete immersion killer. That incredible season TJ Watt had last year? Doesn’t exist in Madden 23. I don’t know why I continue to buy this game at release anymore.

Just read the notes. Didn’t see mention of fixing the depth chart full reorder issue. Hopefully I overlooked it. It drives me crazy knowing if I make certain moves I have to go redo my full depth chart.

Didn’t see mention of anything about the fantasy drafts either like not being able to view your roster or coach scheme during it or how if you exit a player card it takes you back to all players with default sorting.

If anyone like Funkycorm or anyone else would be willing to test out franchise for 3 seasons on a sim and do some trades in the draft and see if there are any corruption s for the communittt it would be be very appreciated thank you. Not sure how much more frustration I can take.

This is a community where people do/share the things that they wish to do/share. As recipients, we are grateful of what they are willing to share/do for the community.

You don't ask people to do things for you...nobody here is anyone else's customer service.

I will do a complete set of tests over the next few days to replicate what I and others did last month to look at franchise crashing in the long term.

Tests do need to be tightly controlled. Once the 10 year sim is complete a playoff game will be played as the crash I have seen usualy triggers once the game is finished

Suggest the following tests, in the following order, results from the first may invalidate the need to do the ones below.

10 year sim - 32 team control and coach firing off.
10 year sim - 32 team control and coach firing on.
10 year sim - 32 team control coach firing and imported draft class
10 year sim - 1 team control, imported draft class, coach firing off.
10 year sim - 1 team control, no imported draft class, coach firing off.

Will take me some time.

I have little faith that this patch will fix anything mind.

Played a game of Matt10's AM set untouched - no INTs for the user or CPU, plenty of dropped picks and swats

Running a couple quick test games (slow simming)...

Game 1 - User INT 0, CPU INT 100 - User team threw 1 INT, CPU threw 3.

Game 2 - User INT 100, CPU INT 0 - User team threw 0 INT, CPU threw 2. (I should note user team was Giants/Daniel Jones, CPU was Cowboys/Dak, so this tracks.)

Small sample and gonna keep tinkering but looks like it's making a difference. Great news.

The only way I think to fix this is via a roster update. EA did briefly look at the problem but then went very quiet.
