Defensive pre snap adjustments?
Can someone point me in the direction of a good tut video on understanding which situations to use certain pre snap adjustments on defense against the cpu. I am getting absolutely cooked through the air by the cpu on all madden and would just like to get better defensively. I don’t mind losing games but I feel helpless most of the time on that side of the ball. It doesn’t help that it feels like my pass rush is non existent compared to the cpu.Tags: None -
Re: Defensive pre snap adjustments?
It's not necessarily pre-snap adjustments that's the issue. I play franchise All-Madden and do OK. Year 2 without Gilmore was harder, but still do OK. I find it's important to mix up your coverages (tend to play softer zones earlier downs, man 3rrd and short/medium, zone longer) and the only pre-snap I do is shade the LBs and 3rd and long set the secondary to "sticks" -
Re: Defensive pre snap adjustments?
User pass defense seriously needs a patch I’m getting torched by every cpu QB…played the cards last night wondered why their receiver was wide open for a 27 yd catch and run …watched the replay and 2 of my defenders had bumped into each other and carried on like that for 20 yds downfieldComment

Re: Defensive pre snap adjustments?
Friendly reminder that OP asked for tips / video recs for getting better at defense - not another "this game is broken thread"
Here is some links that have some defensive tips that I've found in the forums. I would be careful when looking through videos on youtube - it's a slippery slope where a lot of videos are focused on "money plays" or winning games USER v USER online.

Check this guy’s stuff out: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...qpqtUA_xw/edit.
Also check out Geronimo22 on YouTube.
I took the scheme guide stuff in the first link and focused on the Saban disguise 34 part, and I used a bunch of pre-snap disguise and had my best game in a long, long time defensively vs. the pass.
I’d do stuff like come out in quarters and rotate to 3 seam or 3 buzz seam late (got a pick from this), or go from a 1 high man call to a 1 C3 zone blitz out of the same set. It definitely worked to keep the CPU on its toes. I saw more misfires when I approached each call like a game of chess than when I just call my play and run it, and it was more fun.Comment

Re: Defensive pre snap adjustments?
one of the issues i have is that when cover 1 etc the safeties can be silly distances from the los, i want my safeties 12 yds from the los anything else gives away coverage, if i show blitz it moves my corners down which i dont wantComment
