For guys on the fence, this patch has made a huge difference. The game plays like an actual NFL game now. Defense is tighter, AI teams have a WAY better run/pass balance and you actually see overthrows. A plus effort on this patch.

Might be buying the series X sooner than I thought. I’m itching to play Madden. If I do get back in to the series, I’ll just wait until November to buy the new game lol. No sense in getting it when it first comes out.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Patch Addresses Gameplay and Franchise Mode Issues - Patch Notes
I am just not seeing much of a difference. Over a 3 game span post patch, the CPU has been running between 35-40% of the time on 9 mins quarters with 20 sec acc. Maybe I need to play 10 mins quarters for a higher percentage. Opposition were Saints, Chargers, and Raiders. CFB 25 still does a better job of play callingComment

For those keeping track:
2024 season teams avg 32.2 pass attempts per game and 27 rush attempts per game and 2.5 sacks per game. Seahawks avg league high 67% pass and Steelers league low 45% pass. 9 teams run more than pass in 2024z

Great news! Now only if the Madden Devs talk to the CFB Devs and get this in.Comment

Re: October 16th Madden 25 Patch Notes
At this point, we have to chalk the lack of penalties to a intentional game design. If you are an EA apologist, you'll defend EA with the old "the NFL won't allow it" excuse. But really... at this point, I am beyond frustrated with the lack of penalties. This is probably the ONE area that impacts real life games the most and for reasons only known to EA, they intentionally ignore it.
At least NCAA has PI penalties
I just bought the game last week so don't shoot me if this is a commonly-asked question, which I'm sure it is...Comment

someone said on here earlier that they are aware of the shoe glitch and it’s already fixed in next patch. When i s that gonna be, i was gonna create a bunch of players and it will look screwed up with most of them wearing one black and one white shoe.
I know it’s something petty but it bothers me.

Not to spam the thread, but I’ve got 2 games in on the new Falcons franchise, and this feels way more like football than I am used to from Madden. It’s awesome.
Hurts was tearing me up, then we crunched him and put him on the bench, and Pickett sucked. They started leaning on Barkley, and it felt like I could see them changing their game plan in real time to account for the injury.
The differentiation between QB1 and 2 was amazing. It was so noticeable.
I wound up losing 23-16 but could easily have won the game with a couple bounces here or there. The big stats and small stats were all right in line, with the exception of penalties being low, of course.
All I did was put CPU QBA and INT at 25 and on AM, and it feels great. I hope it stays like this!Comment

Looking at the average total runs per game in the NFL, if your starting back ran the ball 13 times would that NOT be spot on considering the total includes when the QB runs as well as second string RBs? With the latter two combined you'll be up in the 20 range anyway even before the patch or nah?Comment

Here's the thing I'm seeing. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong as I rarely watch much sports these days.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Patch Addresses Gameplay and Franchise Mode Issues - Patch Notes
Ok, first and foremost I’ve restarted franchise and now in fact seeing a difference in run/pass ratios. We’re good there.
Next, QB acc (for a fact), as well as pass coverage sliders (possibly) are most certainly more powerful. QB acc at 0 was my default and will remain so, with a HUGE variance in off target passes. We’re golden here as well.
Lastly, the Left Tackle glitch has not been fixed. Can someone please send a red star cluster up into the sky for the devs to see. This is a MAJOR problem. Hard to believe you guys aren’t noticing all of the sacks from the left side/ Right DE.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Patch Addresses Gameplay and Franchise Mode Issues - Patch Notes
Something rather significant to keep in mind is the NFL numbers are heavily skewed towards the run because that's an efficient way to end the game in an already decided match.
Watching the games each weekend, there are easily a dozen plus, or 2 dozen plus if the other team also gave up, of meaningless runs.Comment

First game post patch, Bills franchise against the Titans
In the first half, the Titans have ran the ball 4 times for 4 yards
Will Levis is 10-12 for 141 yards
Default All-Madden sliders, 10 min quarters. Not looking too promising lolComment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Patch Addresses Gameplay and Franchise Mode Issues - Patch Notes
Originally posted by JessieBatesIIII actually reset all sliders including physics and speed parity to default. Then changed fatigue to 58, injury to 20, QBA on both sides to 24 (not sure why but they take more deep shots at 24 - real nice variety), INT on both sides to 15 and WR catch to 45 on both sides.
Game played incredibly. Only issue was running the ball on both sides - easy for me and tough for the CPU, although they did try to run plenty. Simple solution should be to lower the run block for the user significantly and raise it for the CPU.
Anyhow the point is that the game plays much more like real football post patch without adjustments so you really don't need to edit too much it seems.
Will report back on how the run block changes work out for me but ya give default sliders with some minor edits a spin
Simulation, All-Pro, 10 min quarters with 20 sec clock accel btw
Most people will say default plays great after every patch release and imo that's just the mind playing tricks on people lol
Madden has never played great at default out of the box and the primary reason is QB accuracy as you stated and the running games always being too easy for user and too lackluster for the CPU.
So technically that is not default gameplay because you've already edited the following
QBA from 50 down to 24
iNT from 50 down to 15
Catching From 50 down to 45
Run Blocking no variables disclosed but I can guarantee you the user slider will drop way below 50 and CPU slider will go way higher than 50 once you reach a comfort zone.
And then you'll eventually change kicking for fg's if you ever want to see any missed kicks.
Not singling you out by the way but every time I read these after patch threads there's always a group of guys that swear up and down that gameplay is awesome at default meaning no changes to anything and that is not true if your actually changing something right?
EA is incapable of delivering a true SIM game out of the box with just DEFAULT SLIDERS before or after any patches.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Patch Addresses Gameplay and Franchise Mode Issues - Patch Notes
For the life of me I just can't understand how a company releases a football gsme and they can never get running the ball right especially for the CPU
That is just mind boggling that it happens every single year and your cover athlete this year is a RB
As for QBA Josh Allen two weeks ago just had a game in which he completed just 9 out of 31 passes. In Madden you'll never ever see that with default gameplay even with a scrub like Will LevisNCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD
