I imagine if modding is figured out on PC, this will be one of the early mods created lol.
Agreed. Problem with turning off the music is that in game there are certain parts of pure silence. Not even the crowd noise comes through.

Anyone know if there is a way to get this kind of view on a regular widescreen monitor? I'm willing to play with black bars.

Actually if you go by fifa I’m not liking the chances at all to be honest. In fifa we made tattoos by using the ones in the single player story as a base then by using cheat engine assigning them to any player there was a limit of only 30(if I remember correctly) because that’s how many tattoo slots were in the single player mode. Madden doesn’t have any of that in its story mode. The problem is that in fifa only the guys with tattoos included by EA had separate arm textures everyone else shared assets that were just generic skin tones. You could change those but then every guy with Caucasian skin would have the same tattoos. A game like nba 2k each player has their own arm texture so every player could have different tattoos.

We won’t know until we can get a look at the textures but I really doubt they added separate arm textures for every player.

Seems like the bugged crowd noise some of have is indeed a bug and not our settings. Just thought I’d share that they are aware of it. Hopefully we’ll get a fix soon.

Anyone know if “simulated stats” is something that modders will me able to adjust? Would be great. Seems like the EA Bros didn’t quite get to it.

                Hello all!

This may help some so I thought I'd go ahead and post what helped me to get the game to play smooth.

I was having some issues with lag and stuttering when trying to play the game. I'd set my fps to lock at 60 FPS, in game but it was showing 30 FPS at all times. I have a GTX 970, hooked up to my 4k TCL TV, without HDR. I'd lowered my resolution to 1080p, in the game and was still having issues, even at medium and low settings. Turns out, in the NVIDIA control panel, it had my TV set at 30hz. I went ahead and changed it to 60hz and I'm able to play the game just fine now.

I know this may not help a majority of you, but maybe it'll help someone that was having issues like I was.

Starting to get a bad feeling about potential mods in Madden this year, Tomba had this to say in the most anticipated mod thread

The tool used to edit fifa cant be used with madden.

maddens file structure is different and is protected/encypted

In fifa 18 you can go into a config file and change things like gameplay motion blur etc and its all done by a simple noptepad edit and saving it and reapplying that to the data folder.

madden 19? Looks like you cant even look at that same config file and even if you hex edited it it looks way to o crazy

That is not true. FIFA and madden is the same exact file structure. I’ve already been digging. Frosty editor will eventually come out for madden. There’s files you can simply read with a notepad and then there’s the encrypted files that will require the editor. Just because a game has encryption doesn’t make it non moddable. There’s always a way. I promise you.

I’ve been a modder for many games for many many years, I’m not just spitting BS.

Hmm, I don't claim to know anything about the process, as I'm not much of a modder and only have a very basic understanding of FIFA's file structure. I am aware of applying tattoos through CE, but there are also tattoo packs using the frosty editor, which is what I was referencing.

That said, I also didn't know about the generic arm textures, so are you saying all these tattoo packs are just redesigns that are simply overwriting the story-mode slots and then applying them to various players?

Yup that’s exactly how they were done. There were only like 6 or 7 guys included in that game that actually had editable arm textures. Reus, Messi, Dybala, and a couple others.

What I ended up doing is making a few generic arm sleeves and assigning them to multiple guys that had similar tattoos in real life. With how far back the gameplay is it was hard to notice they weren’t exactly right and better than nothing.

I’m holding out hope still for individual arm textures but it is just highly unlikely unfortunately.

As far as Madden being encrypted I’m not worried because FIFA was encrypted too and someone cracked it. Frosty tool works on all EA games as far as I know and I’d be absolutely shocked if it didn’t work on Madden once the encryption is figured out.

                                Fixed stuttering.

Did a clean install of Windows 10 on a spare SSD (was on Windows 7 before)

                                Enabled DirectX12

Now it runs smoothly at 4K.
