Reaction time slider is not reversed, it works as intended. It has a subtle effect on how long it takes for Play Recognition to kick in. It really only comes into play on play action and draws.

Pass coverage is slightly less subtle, but if it's at 100, great DBs will get to even perfectly timed passes occassionally.

My thought on your set right now is that everything plays great except cpu pass coverage.. im eating up the cpu secondary.. ive been reading on the fact or possibility of pass reaction, pass coverage, or even both being backwards along with adjusting the qb under pressure in the roster for all qb's.. have you tried building around 0's or are you waiting for the september 1 update first?

15 min qtr wit 13 on the acc clock is pretty good when it comes to nfl like plays per game and this is cpu vs cpu, I'm not playing.

Something that helps get better defensive play is to use the Coach Adjustments feature before you select your play. There's a variety of ways you can set up match ups, you can set your DBs to match up by height or speed or overall, Ect. It helps tremendously.

Don't know if this will help you but it works for me, my QB accuracy I set at 23 and have pass reaction and pass defence at 5 each for the cpu....I have only being playing play live games at the moment until the patch comes out...Also being playing as Houston with the roof open at 1pm and the stadium looks fantastic, with their rookie quarterback....

Played against the Titans lost 28-21 and it was the best madden game that I have played...14 minute quarters 15 second run off.......

Alright, I'll look into that deeper when I get home from work tonight. I know some wonky things happen, but I also know our community is prone to inventing placebos. It's really hard to tell which is going on sometimes.

Great stuff man, thanks for sharing as always. I came to the same conclusion with the pass reaction slider, but hearing it come from you definitely solidifies my findings.

They are not reversed. Have tested in practice mode as have others.

The only game stats that have been posted in this thread were ludicrous (90% completion rates, 500-600 yd games, etc.).

But a guy says "bro it's 100% realistic," and that's all some of you need.

                  le sigh.

Re: 0 pass reaction and 0 pass coverage on all pro simulation

Played a couple games, defense seemed tighter.
                    running game easier

Question, I user the DL and with these 0 reaction slider I could not get off a block
is that as I interpret from the reaction slider set at 0?

Also even after editing my DE to "no spin" when I use finesse im still seeing the spin move.
                    pass rush moves seem broken.

I did extensive testing of this with multiple people in my franchise and we came to the conclusion that pass Reaction is backwards but pass coverage works as intended. At 0/0 I was killing the CPU all game but when we all tried pass Reaction at 0 and Coverage at 100, corners were all over the receivers. I've tested over 50 games this weekend because I was coming to this conclusion myself while making the slider set for our online franchise. The one thing I do recommend before everyone starts tinkering with their sets is to wait for the patch because we all know it will change a lot of things.

Saw the same thing in user vs user at same settings... Have you tried 20/80 or 25/75? Did you not think it was too much at 0/100?

Yeah it was too tight at 0/100, we felt 20/80 was more realistic. But we might play our franchise on 0/100 for the added challenge.

Worth keeping in mind; anecdotally, I'm seeing very high pass coverage will get defenders biting too quickly on subtle route changes. For instance, if it's at 100, and you're looking at man off coverage vs. a deep comeback, the DB will bite forward when the WR is simply getting width, allowing the WR to get level much quicker. I find somewhere between 75 and 85 is ideal, where they'll react quickly to real breaks but not break on nothing. Still, that's going to require more testing.

I really should get some video of this and send it to the devs. I had elite CBs stepping up on routes and losing pace when it was utterly unnecessary. Also, they REALLY need to implement speed turns. The CBs use absolutely no technique, they just try to get to spots.
