How many times have you held the opposing team to 0 yards rushing? Me the Steelers just held the 49ers to a whopping 0 rushing yards. Won 27-3. Playing coach mode if that makes a difference.

From what I've observed, it makes no difference whatsoever. You can literally never touch the CFM slider screen and be fine provided the MM settings are set up as defined in the OP.

I'm a big proponent of attempting throws "on time" (i.e. as they would be IRL), as a result, I tend to get a lot of tight, contested catches like you see IRL. Many Madden players 'wait until they're open'...instead of making the throw 'as designed' they wait and wait (usually by rolling out) and allow coverage to break down (as it would IRL - but the nerfed pass rush the game has makes this exploitable). As a result, they get a lot of "easy" throws - leading to the mythos that 'coverage is broken'. Keeping with a close to real life rhythm changes the dynamic completely. Stepping up in the pocket, another key. It totally changes the defender positioning relative to the ball trajectory and receiver. Again, it keeps that real-life rhythm....you can make throws that would be unmakeable if you did the "Madden dropback".

So...you're like, "Ummm...what does all that have to do with my question?" Here you go...

If one person's play style results in a totally different set of dynamics compared to what other people see, then anything that alters a person's play style can alter how the game plays. By changing to a wider camera, you would be able to see more of the field and THAT can alter your habits/tendencies. You could wind up attempting different throws or picking different lanes than you would in the normal camera angle; that would then change your experiences. Does it physically change gameplay...I doubt that. Does it change animations? Maybe...but I think it'd be more of a "you see less detail so it looks cleaner" kind of deal.

Sidenote...this is also why you can't compare CPU v CPU to User v CPU. Users don't play like the CPU (and vice versa).
Interesting take. I am HUGE into timing based throws ect. Maybe me seeing the field is helping vs tight camera. Who knows my man. Madden is a mystical creature that hasn’t been solved since PS4/XB1 introductions.

Josh what are your thoughts on coach vs owner? Do you think it makes the game play differently?

I always felt the owner mode felt 'off'...like it muted the player aggression somehow.

I can't explain it, I can't prove it and it very well could be placebo, but I've always preferred sticking with coaches.

An idea of Matt's that intrigued me was playing home games All pro and away games on all madden. Would like 2 hear your intake on this. My concern is it messing with my franchise systematic system. Also if so I wouldn't switch between the 2 in MM just in the franchise menu.....when you get 2 it would like 2 hear your perspective! Ty

May not need to cycle between AP and AM cuz I'm sitting at 3 and 3 currently on AP and having a blast. Mostly due to alleged rumors of our coach being intoxicated...jk. Also in my vague experience noticing my franchise being more inline with sliders at default is a plus 4 me. Going to move sum players around 2 better fit the scheme and bring their playmaking abilities out hopefully. Had a DT at RE on depth chart but going to make him a RE to be a piece of the puzzle.

It does what the description says it does, it controls how accurate or inaccurate the cpu qb is, and it also has to do with your user controlled qb as well.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

It controls the intelligence of the players on the rosters.

So, lower the user QBA, dumb down the defenses on both sides
Lower the CPU QBA, dumb down the defenses on both sides

(Raising it has the opposite effect)

It also has a minor effect on the actual accuracy of the QBs.

This is pretty interesting. I quit playing Madden a few months ago but I set out on doing my own slider testing.

I noticed it was nearly impossible to force bad passes because as I adjusted CPU QB ACC, the game got easier. I mitigated this issue by creating tighter pressure, getting the CPU to take risks, and letting contested catches determine CPU accuracy numbers.

Wish I would have read your postings Josh, I spent a lot of time on that without finding the cause lol!

Yup....it's a tough re-balancing once you change either QBA slider away from default. Not saying that it can't be done, but there are just SO many dynamics that change once you do. I actually tinkered for a bit with CPU QBA at 75 - it's amazing how much more effective pass coverage is (on both sides).

Nope, not at all. No need for profile resets or anything like that either.
