First you set the slider set you want in the main menu and save them both under player skill and cpu skill. Idk if you have to save them but its what i did n its been working for me. The skill level i use in the main menu is all madden. I could be wrong about the skill level, when i first started my cpu vs cpu with these sliders i had it setup as pro under the main menu until i read something under this forum that said to put it to all madden. I noticed no difference with changing the skill levels when i went threw that situation. Obviously dont forget to set up the quarter length and on the bottom of that menu put in the injuries, fatigue and player speed skill. Oh yea and setup the penalties in main menu. After that is done go into franchise and go to the gameplay sliders. Hit reset then import custom sliders. The buttons for that are on the bottom of the screen. After that under league settings put the skill level to pro and i would just make sure everything under that menu is setup correctly. Next go to user settings then game options and make sure that ball hawk and heat seaker assist is set to off. I use the cpu vs cpu set so i know for that set you turn them off. Once you do all that your all set. Just make sure after every week in your franchise you go back to the franchise sliders and hit reset then import them again because sometimes madden will forget about the sliders and doing this reminds him and it will usually work correctly after that. If it doesn't i would do that step over again, the reset and import.

Sorry for the lengthy explanation, i just wanted to make sure i could help you the best i could. If i was asking about how to setup these sliders, i would want a decent explanation because these sliders are worth it. Playmaker did a amazing job with these.

P.S.- Playmaker could you just confirm that this info is correct with the skill level under mm. Its the only thing that im kind of unsure about. Also i want to thank you for making these sliders, this is the best madden gameplay i have ever seen. I really appreciate the time and effort for making these.
    Aloha sleary8,

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question in great detail, much appreciated, this help me out a lot, also thanks for the info on resetting the sliders every week. I will give it shot.

I usually reload them myself to make sure they stay consistent in franchise mode.

I know there was a patch update like two weeks ago and few roster updates.

But no one has reported any glaring issues with gameplay, so I haven't altered anything with the CPU vs CPU set.

Playmakers, for refreshing the CFM sliders are you resetting them back to default 50 first and then reloading your saved sliders?

        You are correct

I set it up All Madden in the MM section

Once inside Franchise Mode I upload sliders and then switch the difficulty to Pro.

I reload the sliders after every week's games to make sure they stay consistent.

I use that format for both the CPU vs CPU and USER vs CPU games

I think someone on the main boards said Competitive ode doesn't have injuries or something to that nature.

I personally haven't tested it out myself

But I guess resetting them to default and then uploading shouldn't be a problem

I did all my testing with EA's initial release day rosters.

Those rosters I use to build the sliders.

This is OT but you guys should try Pro Level in NBA 2K

I don't post over there at all but man if you love Pro level for Madden, I highly encourage you to try Pro level in NBA 2K

Just get you some good sliders and use the Real FG% of the actual players.

I'm not sure why EA can't give us a real QB% and Kicker FG% in the game. But anyway, I'm a huge fan of 90's era sports and 2K really does a good job of replicating that era of basketball.

That game just has so many things I've wanted in Madden for years.

PM I have a question which may sound silly lol, all these years of playing Madden and using someones slider sets that uses or don't use clock run off, I never thought about what the reason is for using either clock run off on or off till now LOL

With turning clock run off to on and to however many seconds to run off, what is the reason for this? doe enabling clock run off affect the game play in any way? or is to just make he clock run off faster? if it's just to run the clock off faster why not just use a shorter game minute?

again i am just curious as it never crossed my mind as to why some have this on and some have it off

I use it to get the proper number of total plays per game.

Usually around 120 plays are what you want between the teams.

I personally don't think playing with Accelerated clock on or off effects anything the CPU does.

I'm not going to give EA credit by saying the CPU will run or call smarter plays depending on your clock settings.

So, for me it's all about just trying to get the total amount of plays per game.

clock runoff only affects the game when you go below 15 second runoff. if you use less than 15 seconds, they won’t use motion, flip plays, or call any audibles. it looks weird and not like the nfl at all to not see any or much motion. motion is a big part of modern football.

So i’d disagree PM. Because they don’t call any motion plays and that makes the cpu kind of static as they aren’t using the whole playbook. honestly 20 second runoff is best with the 12 minutes. it’s kinda hidden how it affects gameplay but it does because they hardly use any motion plays when using less than 15.
