    Call me crazy but I actually think fatigue and Auto Subs work better for CPU vs CPU gameplay.

    Penalties seem more balanced overall as well.

    Today I saw one DL encroachment call and 3 False Start penalties on my Cowboys.

    One thing I wish EA would have allowed us to do is set up gameplay options with the ability to set it to Equal teams because the HFA crap in Madden at times really hurts the gameplay.

    If we had the Option to set it to Equal teams I noticed that stops the HFA from getting out of control in the Play Now Games.

    Just can't understand why as a Consumer(s) we can't control all aspects of our gameplay. If I don't want HFA On I shouldn't be forced to use it.



    As for the positives this game plays and looks even better on Broadcast camera (CPU vs CPU)

    I'm seeing eye candy animations all over the field in this mode.

    Makes me even more excited for NCAA Next year when I can create guys like Reggie Bush, Peter Warrick and Desmond Howard using this gameplay.

        Yeah 20 was the last version because it kept almost most of the Classic team games close.

        You still saw a few blowouts but for the most part that feature did a great job in keeping games competitive.

        Some of the things they take away like Game Speed Slider which is pretty much in every other sports games with the USER option to go fast or slow is pretty sad on EA's part.

          Yeah, if it's anything like in the past, when not playing it defaults to CPU sliders, at least that's the old method. So if you play offense only (which is pretty popular actually) I think you should be using for HUMAN, User offense/CPU Defense, for AI, CPU offense/CPU Defense...ie your defensive sliders will be the CPU column for both human and AI. (Once the CPUvCPU sliders are set that is)
          If you're doing offense only, which is what I do, the defense is just super sim'ed. To that end, I don't know that sliders even matter. Unless you're doing slow sim which I don't do so, I can't speak to that.

          Now for your offense, I'd certainly use the Player Skill Offense portion of his sliders for my offense and the CPU Skill portion of the defense for my opponent.

            Yeah your correct it doesn't matter when you SIM without watching

            The Game doesn't use sliders for just SIM

            But TBH with you this game in recent years has looked incredible from the broadcast view so I would just slow SIM the defense and watch things play out anyway.

            I mean unless your pressed for time because of lack of hours to play the game Slow Sim watching IMO is a must for those who enjoy CPU vs CPU.

            I'm actually watching all of my FG's 1st time ever and it makes having a good kicker even more Important now than ever because your not contolling any aspects of the kicking game.

                Sliders definitely do affect the game play in slow sim mode but I really can’t tell you for normal and fast for certain. But, it definitely doesn’t for league sims without watching.

                  Out of all the sets posted for 23 so far. These have been the best for consistently and I am getting penalties called batted balls deep balls good runs. Everything. Good job. Only thing I change is special teams.

                  These are the special teams sliders I used last year. They were perfect for me if you want to give them a shot. Almost all kickers in the league have the leg to hit 60 yarders now. It’s the accuracy that’s the difference. And for punting most punts travel 50 yards or so. You need punts to flip the field and a longer punt allows a bit more of a chance to return for yards haha. Punt accuracy let’s the cpu try to coffin you. Kickoff is right where it needs to be. 52 just adds a few more touchbacks or through the end zone. Don’t let the numbers scare you.

                      I just played a game with my special team setup and I think I need to dial back the fg power. I hit a 59 and 56 with room to spare. Those should be just getting in there.

                          I've been preaching Pro for years, but guys have been so reluctant and refused to try it.

                          This year's Pro is truly no different than past years after you tweak the sliders it plays the most underrated game of football in Madden.

                          Everything you see in the game on Pro this year from animations to organic outcomes you can go years and see me start off every thread encouraging guys to try it out and give it a fair shot.

                          I've got the CPU vs CPU settings coming here shortly and the threshold setting for that set is different from USER vs CPU but it's awesome because you will say how ratings play out even more using that threshold for CPU vs CPU.

                          Not too many guys use it (threshold) because they get too caught up real life NFL when that stuff can't truly be simulated in Madden.

                            Loving these slider so far!!!

                            7-0 in my franchise with Titans but I have struggled in a lot of those games but have been able to pull them out or gotten lucky with a timely turnover or something.

                            The only thing I’m seeing that I still need to get figured out is the HUM INTs. I’m by far leading the league and I’m not user catching them or anything. That’s my only issue so far.

                            Pass rush on both sides is good.

                            Running game on both sides is good. I have Henry so that makes my life easier lol.

                            HUM pass defense is up and down for me. Davis Mills lit me up for 300 yds in the first half last night but then held him to live 75 yds in the second half. Granted it was the first game I’ve played where CPU completely avoided running the ball. Mills had like 55 pass attempts and the game was close.

                            I traded Tannehill and went with Willis as my starter and definitely feeling the affects of a 69 overall QB. Pass accuracy is garbage haha but feel it’s ok with the sliders and such and he should struggle especially not having any top notch WRs.

                            But overall, really enjoying the game with these sliders.

                              From looking at the Player Ratings for Kickers and Punters in Madden you were on the right track.

                              The Problem is you have to take into account Human fluence.

                              Now in CPU vs CPU gameplay the following settings which I took fromm the ratings work beautifully in game.

                              FG Power 70 (This gives them the distance you want)
                              FGA 40 (This allows those misses you want to see when the kick is just wide left or right. Sometimes it'll just hit the goal post)

                              Punt Power 55
                              Punt Accuracy 70

                              The Power is a little higher based on the ratings, but I like to see a few Punt returns so I'm using 55

                              KO Power 50

                              Same thing you were on the right track but I'm old school and like to see the kick returners bringing it out.

                              I've got tons of videos of guys like Dave Meggett and Deion Sanders in my classic rosters returning kicks for TD's so that's why I don't like seeing guys unable to have a chance at a return in Madden.

                                But like last year make sure you switch to SWAT The Ball and that should help some with the INT's.

                                I just stopped using it myself though because when I was testing it out before starting on my CPU vs CPU testing the game somehow reverts it back. That wasn't the case in Madden 22, so I think it's broken or something.

                                I got one more change I might make to threshold that I'm testing out by watching it in CPU vs CPU mode, but I want to make sure it can hold up for USER vs CPU before I lock into that update.
