Hey all, after about 30+ crazy frustrating games where I was throwing 3-5 picks per game, on both Pro and All-Pro, I've plugged in Armor's sliders verbatim and I'm the closest I've come to finding perfect gameplay.

My only desire is to bump up the difficulty because playing as the Falcons, I handled the Chargers far too easily. CPU qbs don't take as many shots as I would like and the run game was a bit too easy. Can anyone recommend which sliders to adjust to give me a bit more of a challenge? Thanks!!!

Good morning Madden Brothers,


We have a fatal flaw in this years game.....unfortunately despite being able to calm down the CPU QB pick issues, there is absolutely no slider cure or edits cure that is a true fix. It simply is hard coded with this new “Field Sense” hard code in the game.

We have to come to grips (I have and I did very early in this cycle when I dropped down from All-Pro to Pro) that the game is tuned specifically for online full user input players. That is the target audience. We (no switch offline simulation franchise players) are clearly not.

So with that being said....I really really like Madden 23. It plays a really fun and exciting game of football and I love my franchise I have going. What I cannot stand is the BS cheap Pick 6’s we get on curl routes. It is ridiculous.

So we are going old school. Back in the pre-PS3 days when we had a major bug....we were stuck with it and we figured out workarounds. Well here is my workaround (and one a friend of mine is using as well).

When you see your AI teammate jump a curl route (and this can snowball into 2-3 a game I have seen it) and has a clear easy pick 6.....take control and run him straight out of bounds.

Earn the TD on a drive.

It’s the only thing I can do to keep playing the game. Because I love everything else about it. The player movement, the franchise mode, the running game....it's all really really good.

Just a suggestion.....for those pulling their hair out on this ugly wart.

That’s pretty sad that it’s come down to this. The interceptions and pick 6s are so cheap that even when I get one, I’m not even excited and want to give the cpu the ball back lol

It is what it is.....but yeah it’s quite anti-climatic. Its like....oh...another pick 6. Yipeee.

I don’t think this will be fixed BTW. It is hard coded. So I am just doing what I need to do because other than that.....I am having a lot of fun.

Makes sense when you reboot your franchise as doesn't a new CFM import your settings from the main screen? I thought all madden was preferred there prior to loading CFM? If it reverts amidst an existing CFM that doesn't make sense. Good Luck.

Want some irony? Remember the "rewind" (or whatever they called it) feature from YEARS ago that would let you redo a play immediately after it was done? That would fix all these issues. Get a cheap pick on the CPU? Just "rewind" it back a play and let the CPU try again.

Oh well.

Try these tweaks from the OP

Fumbles - 5

CPU
QB ACC - 100
PB - 70
WR catch - 100
Pass D - 100
Int - 50
Pass cov - 100

This will be very challenging to stop CPU offense. If it’s too hard put CPU pass block down to 61 and/or raise user pass reaction to 4.
