We still never know what might happen...

Personally I think they are going balls-to-the-walls this time because of the new BACKBREAKER game that's going to come out and give Madden a run for its money.

They dont give a damned about a video game named Backbreaker. They have the NFL shield behind their sales. You cant compete with something that has the NFL on it, no matter how horrible the game is.

They can talk a good talk, but its time to walk the walk. I wont bash them, but i dont know if they are capable of making a sim game. Let me rephrase that, i dont think they want to make a sim game. Something simple that people can play with the NFL teams.

Thats all it needs and it will sell.

It's been typed up. I don't think there is anxiety. We're looking forward to the Madden conversation this year.

Anxiety was a poor choice of words on my part. I was curious as to the excitement level for you guys releasing this info. Is it as hard on you to wait to reveal it as it is for us to wait to read about it?

I hope tonight is the fastest first half in football history.

Well, I sure hope that means were going to have those refs that don't seem to be important to the game of football in the game...and the chain gang, because you know they have the most unimportant job in the world.

Because you know, we see refs popping out of the damn blue yonder on Sunday every week. I don't care about "focusing on the gameplay" crap excuse they used to verify that design decision. Ask that QB from South Carolina Gamecocks how refs impact the game on the field.

I definitely am pumped to get the feedback and continue the communication. We're glad to finally let the lid off, but being that it's so early it's not like I'm dropping the biggest feature in the history of Madden gaming or anything.

It is a pretty good one though.

I am probably more excited for Madden this year than I have been for any sports game, ever. The prospects of new Devs on this game with Josh taking charge of Franchise Mode is almost like telling the OS Community "We hear you!".

I am ready for halftime already...lol

Im just looking for atmosphere. In specific the crowd atmosphere. Playing 09 felt like there was just the 22 men on the field and no one else was in the building. Hopefully we receive more crowd reaction and player reaction. Madden 09 didnt have the football environment.
