I think what is meant is more control. I don't see that happening until there's another method other than button pressing for passing.
A more fine tuned read and lead system would be great IMO to at least have that option.

Im still wondering why you think eye black was an added feature?

It was in last years game, hell even 08, the thing is we don't have the ability (at least as of 09) to put it on or take it off the players, its either rendered on their face or its not.

I actually did not see it on any player model, and in the list of equipment options it was N/A. So, if they added it back as an equipment option I think it should make the list, if they did not then it shouldn't.

Being the fact that they went through the trouble of making animated towels, I'm confident eye black will be in the equipment options again.

Nevertheless, I stand corrected, I did not know eye black was indeed in the previous versions of the game that you mentioned.

I apologize for not having updated today. I had an absolutely awesome day yesterday... and every great day is followed by the one in which you pay for it. And I paid for it... with interest today.

Not to mention my home city is on the verge of a major natural disaster, so yeah, been kinda distracted.

3-25 Breaking Down "The Shot"- Art Director Michael Young breaks down the new features revealed in the Peter Moore screenshot.

3-25 Pocket Protection A blog written by the NCAA team that Ian has confirmed also applies to Madden.

3-25 Ian has stated that the deep passing game is going to be far more varied, with more variables taken into account. Likely, Deep Accuracy will play a large role, along with the defender's coverage rating. Great cover corners will be able to slow down fast receivers, but for lesser corners, being matched up with significantly greater speed will hurt. Much more information available in this thread.

3-25 New penalties added including Illegal Forward Pass and late hit out of bounds. Ian is accepting suggestions for other penalties and how they should work in game.

Hmmmmmm...This has me wondering if some type of sideline interaction will be in the game???

No... the impression I got is that for a split second after going out of bounds, the action will continue, force you to figure out the play is over and not lay on the hit stick once the guy's stepped on white.

A late hit doesn't involve players who aren't in the game.

Considering they've added 10 fully animated characters to the field for '10 and somehow upgraded the graphics along with it, fully interactive sidelines might be expecting a tad much at this point.

Wondering if we could get any news on field degredation and dirty uniforms?

While i know it is not an issue really, but i loved how players got dirty. But it was a little over the top and the field looking relativly untouched made the visual look stupid.

Personally, gameplay is my #1 focus. The rest will come (imho probably on the next generation of consoles), but i think it is worth some discussion.

but gameplay, gameplay and gameplay should be the focus before ANYTHING!!

Does anyone know if the 360 or PS3 is the lead development platform. I know the games were very similar last year, but I still thought it played a little better on 360.
