FYI 2k5 did NOT have interactive sidelines in the way I'm referring to them. I could have been more clear. I refer to interactive sidelines as full-res characters that animate dynamically along with the on-field characters. 2k5 had cut-scene sidelines...a la Head Coach.

APF2k8 DID have interactive sidelines in the way that I'm referring to them.

Many people think it is not that big of a deal for the sidelines to be interactive or better looking, I disagree. I mean look at all the next gen games, they all have interactive sidelines or dugouts, why is so damn hard to get this done in Madden??????

One of the things that bug me about Madden so far is the awful awful player models on the sidelines, there may not be the need to make them fully interactive but for crying out loud, make them look a little better then SNES / GENESIS models.....

It sucks having to run out of bounds and seeing these so called sidelines absolutely making me vomit, I understand there are gameplay issues to be worked out but i just dont get why other sports games have done these things and have been doing the sidelines, the presentation all next gen and madden continues to suck a big one in this aspect.

Why is this???????

Just a heads up, I wont hold it against you guys Ian if you tout "removed rings" as a back of the box feature for Madden 10. Thank you for taking them out. I also think its cool that you look at 2k5 and try to do better. Actually i think that is awesome man, thanks.

Sidelines dont necessarily have to be interactive, just make the players look better, have them react accordingly to whats going on during the game, put the correct jersey #s on them, and dont clone them, make them all do things individually. Throw in a cutscene or two, call it a day and get ready to focus on that aspect for 2011. Done deal.

Poor Ian I feel for you man. Do you pull out your hair every time someone brings out 2k5 and compares it to the current version of Madden knowing that the other one is like 4 years old and calling better?

Exactly, touch the players up, this aint 1991, lol! Now, when I mentioned having the players react individually, ok, even if they repeat the same animation, have each one repeating their own animation, ya know. No two players should be doing the same exact thing, loop an animation for each individual player.

Once again, they dont have to be the player models from on the field, but polish em up please.

Reading through all the info, I didn't see anything on CPU Sliders. Maybe I missed it? Has it been confirmed that they will return? If so, the info is worthy of adding to the list.

No CPU Sliders = No purchase.

CPU Sliders were part of last year's almost-DLC. On that basis, it's safe to assume they'll be there... and I can't imagine Ian wants to go through the backlash he got last year on it again. It isn't confirmed, but I'd put money on it being there.

That was "confirmed" at E3 last year. I don't buy anything that doesn't come from Ian or Phil, TBH, so I ain't buying it yet. But, if it helps you feel better, they've said it's happening.

Will the WeatherChannel.com feature be used for real time weather?

Has the kicking/special teams game been upgraded? (i.e. new method for kicking, squibs, various returns, kick/punt return weapons, etc)
