    Re: Here ya go Ian...

    Where's the evidence that these twitter posts are;

    a) even referring to Deangelo (Hall) and not another Hall.

    b) that the number 77 was referring to Halls overall rating and not another rating like man coverage....

No one in the world can create correct ratings for every person in the league before the season has started. A difference in 5 pts of judgement is not a valid reason to be upset.
I would believe that the initial ratings are based off of the previous years efforts when the ships.

It's not unrealstic to have unbiased fans of specific teams notice some "wrong" ratings. I would never expect the madden crew to get every single person on every single squad correct. But if people are able to intelligently make a case for a rating they believe could be higher or lower, why is it a problem? The problem is that people voice their opinions without any tact or reason.

I don't understand what the issue is with Brady. Has he proved that he cannot play at the same level that he used to? No, so you cannot say he should be lowered just because he got injured. By that logic every single player that gets hurt in franchise mode should drop 6 points when they come back from their injuries, but guess what they don't. Until proven other wise Brady is still one of the top 2 elite players in the NFL.

i think the problem is we really dont know how these stretched ratings measure up...it seem weird to complain about them now when I have no clue how they intend to seperate the "average" for "elite"

You are correct...if the ratings seem off, we can change 'em when we get the game...good enough for me. No need to get in a tizzy.

Out of all the things to complain about, I never understood why people give a damn about player ratings. EA gives us the ability to edit the rosters, and for all of you franchise realism out there (myself included) don't feel like it's "unrealistic" to edit a player rating to your liking. If you feel like someone should be higher or lower, THEN DO IT YOURSELF.

              We have that ability.

Brady has also not proven that he can play at that previous level.

As for the dropping players in franchise who get injured, I think for major injuries like that they probably should be lowered.

Ratings is all a matter of opinion, ratings will never be "fixed". That can't and won't ever happen.

There seems to be some assumption amongst Redskins fans that he only played poorly in Oakland and was some sort of good cornerback in Atlanta.

He wasn't. He constantly got beat by anyone with any sort of route-running ability.

He has all the speed and talent in the world, but I don't think one half season of good performance should out-rule an entire career of severely underperforming expectations.

I don't know about everyone else but I don't want to have to go through and edit every player just because EA got them wrong.

I do tend to agree. Brady was ALREADY a massively over rated system QB to start with. No reason to kill the hype machine now that he's had an injury.

It's pretty easy to throw big numbers in that system, so I expect to see another 45+ TD season for Brady this year. Unless Moss gets hurt.

Peyton Manning is also a pocket passer and his surgeries last off season were minor compared to what Brady went through. And he didnt start the season out well either. He picked it up some where near mid season. So mos def Brady should not be a 98.

It should be noted that McNabb's injury affected his throwing motion, by way of his footwork (pushing off/hip rotation). That is why people are wondering about Brady.

But, Brady does not throw high horsepower balls like McNabb, he's a touch passer. If his accuracy is not affected by the knee, he should do well this season.

never realised there was an absolute correct answer for every rating.

No need to get defensive if people are debating things...it's all good natured. And I'm not lookin to start trouble either. No one is attacking anyone, so no need to get defensive is all.
