The Sanchez footwork is hideous, looks like last year. I thought the QB animations and mechanics were going to be much more realistic this year. Well, based on that video I guess it's not happenin this year either.

Madden always trows ridiculous icons and ball cursors on the field of play. Thank god they removed the weapons. But if your expecting a clean looking, and clean playing game now, you haven't been paying attention all these years.

My assumption is that it's primarily there to give you an idea of exactly when the ball is going to land. I'm also assuming that trying to trigger a user catch when in the area, or inside that circle will trigger different animations (including ones where the receiver attempts to make the play, but cannot). It's not that bad, IMO. I can deal with it. I hope they have an option to turn it off though.

Lime green never, ever looks good. It's bad enough as a secondary color, but as a primary color it's an abomination.

Only in the Pacific Northwest, my friend. The rest of us look at the things the various teams up there do with uni's and shake our heads.

A small detail, but I noticed that players don't make imprints in the snow after getting knocked to the turf, but their footprints, however, do show up in the snow. I think this was an issue with last year's game too. Just a small detail, but it would be cool to see how the field degrades after numerous plays in the snow.

I really really hope this is changed. Everything should make an imprint in the snow (football, bodies, etc.) not just footprints.

The lack of momentum in Madden at times just makes the game feel and look so weird. In this video, at about 2:31 when Owens is tackled, there is a defensive player to the left of him who gets hit, there's a short delay, then he's magically thrown to the left matrix style. Just looks weird. Many of the jukes and animations after catches look the same way to me. Like they couldn't possibly happen, and they don't look fluid at all.

I hope next year they add in momentum/physics, and start working on an new animation / rendering engine that could ideally be ready by Madden '12 to address the missing frames and missing transition animations. I honestly feel the last one is going to be a tough sell internally, since they eat their own dog food (use the same engine across products/teams), and EA may just say what we have is 'good enough'.

Oh man... another video that doesn't make me wanna get it.

What kills me is that ppl are saying that it's not the final build and the game will be better and blah blah blah..... Here is something to shut y'all up: A company will show you a game if they're comfortable with what it looks and plays like... Period! The game will be just like that video with only a few (and I mean few) minor tweaks.

Actually, the reason the Big Red Circle surprises me a bit is because Ian himself said that this year's goal was to have a clean screen.

This is not a gamekiller, but it doesn't line up with what was said to be the goal. Just the mere size of it almost makes you think it's a joke.

Yes...weeks. But they've been working on this game for almost a full YEAR now....do you REALLY think that these little "tweaks" they're doing now are going to change what has NOT been fixed in the last 12 months???? Dream on.
