Potential Online Franchise Problems /w Computer Controlled Teams?
I've been thinking about online franchise and there is one issue that I see that may be a problem - Trading/Transactions with computer controlled teams.
I can see these potential problems:
1. A human controlled team fleecing a computer controlled team in a trade.
2. A computer controlled team dropping a star player and a human controlled team picking him up.
Hopefully there are measures that EA takes to avert these issues. Here are my suggestions:
1. No trading between human and computer controlled teams. The only trades that are allowed are between human controlled teams.
2. A waiver system should be put in place just in case a computer controlled team drops a star player.
Hopefully these problems have already been addressed.
Thank you and Good Day.Comment

Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
"Will you play online Franchise?"
Any time you see this question posted with the inevitable "Poll" offline franchise always wins. It is no way indicative of the actual results on this topic, especially considering there has never been an online franchise in Madden. Go ask this question on the NCAA boards and check out what results you get. Once people start playing this mode I guarantee you feelings will change and here's why.
First of all you can easily do both. You can have your own offline franchise to do what you want and have a great franchise with your boys going on as well, so I don't understand why so many people think the two are mutually exclusive. Also until you've played the base form on NCAA, you really shouldn't and couldn't have an opinion on the matter. If online sucks no one will play and if it's dope everyone will play. Last of all but not least, IN NO WAY can online franchise be compared to playing random clowns on the internet. The minute you start doing that you are already speaking from a ridiculous position. I would not advise playing with anyone you don't know in an online franchise. Try meeting people here or call up old homies from the past, this game is not meant for racist, anti-semites, homophobes, fake *** gangsters, or any of the multitudes of other closet losers you randomly find on the internet.
p.s. Don't buy this 32 teams crap either stick to a maximum of about 6 people with a good commissioner (the numbers can change to more or less depending on your personal relationship with the people in the franchise).Comment

Can two people play online franchise on the same PS3 or Xbox 360?
I have a few friends who would play online franchise but don’t have a console to play it on. I think it will be great if you can have multiple people play online franchise on one console.Comment

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
As I said in the other thread, I just don't have the time for an online franchise.
Three kids, wife and a career, playtime is very sparse for me.
I'm happy it's in for the people that enjoy it, though.

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
To another point. Why after all this time, do people have the ridiculous notion that the gameplay team focused on Online Franchise to the detriment of all else. I joined this site in December with the express intention of finding out about Online Franchise and for 5 months I have heard updates on everything but this feature. 5 MONTHS, Ian and crew have given the people plenty of reasons to show that they did not focus solely on Online Franchise and you people still doubt him on this issue. Damn mayne, I am one if not the biggest sceptic here and even I wouldn't dare suggest that bogus theory.Comment

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
They wouldn't even tell us about this and still had clearly reworked A LOT of gameplay issues and presentation issues etc. etc. etc.
Working on online franchise doesn't take away anything from anywhere else. Please take note that most of what I say and post is made in satire.

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
I agree with the OP and I'm not a big online gamer at all. In fact, when you choose to get into an online franchise with friends or even strangers, you get to know those people pretty well and become a closer knit of friends... so if someone starts acting like a jackass, the commish can throw their *** out. But I don't think it'll come to blows like that as often as some might think because it's a more personal approach to online gaming. The reason why you have all these jackasses who play Madden is because they think they are anonymous. In online franchise, you can't afford to be anonymous or invisible because you'll need to interact with other players to get things done, like trading picks or players, for example.Comment

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
im playing a game in my ncaa 09 OD right now, and u sr. are right, all the grief and gripes guys have about playing online in ncaa was washed away once online dynasty hit the scence, now everything is more "controlled" guys are very responsible (and im in 5 different OD's on ncaa) most of us have never met face to face but the amount of respect we all share is unbelieveable, in face if some are skeptic then i advise u to go and read some ofe the post in the OD forums, im in jdrhammer's sec dynasty, its soooooo fun, internet thugs will be a thing of the past as longas u have a kick a$$ commish' like we do in jdPSN-FORDTUFF504
NFL- SAINTS 49ers
NBA- HORNETS PACERS
NCAAF- MIAMI LSU
"IM SO UPTOWN AND IF U AIN'T MOTHA#$@ DONT GO UPTOWN, YEAH"
How often can the bug be reproduced? That's a question for the developers...I'm not testing this for them...Comment

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
Actually you are wrong. I made a thread detailing why the results of the survey were not indicative of the actual feelings on the issue. I then proceeded to provide evidence to show why they were not. You my friend are the one who showed up bitter, possibly because I made my point so well, and made your little smart remark. As always if one does not agree he should logically debate or simply leave....Comment

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise
I already have a good group of friends that will join me in a online franchise. Plus, another group of madden peeps from the VG Sports madden boards... so I'll probably jump in about 5 or 6 or more full online franchises throughout the year... or maybe just 2, and take them through several years..
definitely looking forward to itComment
