I love APF 2K8 and have ran many leagues and have been in many. I have played 1,000's of games in APF 2K8 so I believe I am an expert when it comes to APF.

I give Madden a shot every year and this year seems more promising than the past because of the overhaul of the Madden team. I will be buying Madden 10 just so you all know.

I have to say this....

APF 2K8 has the same kind of blocking issues that Madden has in the 1st video you guys posted. It does happen. I have had many times where my FB leaves D-Line and LB's a free pass right to my RB. I have had Gold O-Lineman run right past a defender and go straight to the Safety and pass right by 1-3 defenders.

I do not know about the Run blocking in Madden as much as others because last year I couldn't even stomach a full game before I took it back.

I am not saying Madden 10 will be right.

I am not saying that APF is broke.

I am saying that I have seen it happen in APF just the same.

I agree there is some funny AI blocking in APF. I notice when you run off tackle and your fullback will by pass the olb and just run up the field or when your pulling guard ignore the olb and run up the field but this isn't what happen in Madden 09 iso plays.

In Madden 09 iso plays the fullback will not hit the correct gap and then the lb will follow the fullback away from the hole. It almost seem like the lb and the fullback are connected and one follow the other.

It seem like a very fixable problem for the Madden team.

No other football game has had more than 2 man tackling. (3 if you want to go into semantics).

Madden 10 allows for up to 9 player interaction. No football game has ever had that.

So yeah, trebling the amount of players interacting at a time is significant.....

I will wait an see regarding the 9 player interaction but I am old head I still remember when Madden 98 had virtual polygons to compete with Gameday 98 game. Pro Tak is just a slick marketing tool.

When people create threads/vids and then say things similar to what I bolded above, it gives the impression that the OP/videographer wants attention from the devs more than anything. Many of us have been guilty of this at some point, but I always cringe when it comes to these statements. It's almost to say, "To hell with the Madden fans commenting and feedback, Ian where are you!?! Look at me!" So what if a developer doesn't acknowledge your thread...though you're pointing to valid issues, I don't think it's something that hasn't been discussed before. Maybe not with such pertinent examples, but it all falls under the Madden-flawed-gameplay umbrella in my opinion which has been discussed at great length the past few years. This thread is not all that unique in that aspect.

No, but gang tackling was in 2k3 and at the very least NFL2k4. So, gang tackling been in football games for the last 7 years. Just hard for me to get excited for a feature that should been in a the game for the last 8 years.

I liked Madden 09 in small doses but I always end up going back to APF. Ian mistake was trying to make a game that would make everyone forget about 2k5 but APF2k8 gameplay should have been the model.

Madden 2009 sold over 7 million copies last year (across all platforms), Ea nor Tiburon, nor anything cares or matters..... These guys are rich, Ian is rich and so many people off of this game are as well.

No matter how good All-Pro 2k8 was it didn't sell, so we might never see another game from them.

Us worrying about a video game means nothing. Madden 2010 will sell millions again.... So the only true way for a change is if we do not buy the game and stop posting on forums. That is the only way , so with that said this is my final post here for Madden.


Here's hopes that NFL Exclusive contract ends so we can have more than one choice in football games

Not stupid. Games get better because of feedback. Madden 09 was better than Madden 08 and there is a good chance Madden 10 will be better than 09. Most of us just want a better game and customer feedback is a good thing.

I have been a Madden fan since maybe 1992 but been a football game fan since 1978(hand held coleco was a beast).

not buying madden. YEAH NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHY? because of the license of course. thats the only reason madden reach millions of copies. as long as madden is the only NFL game they will always make money. its SAD but true

i buy madden every other year not because of madden gameplay but because of the NFL and i bought 09 and traded it for a better game. i dont plan on buying madden 10 but the urge to buy is tough to deal with it cause im a football fanatic

we as consumers must hold EA accountable some other way. take it to the forums, take it to the courts, protest in front of EA tiburon, somethin

First off, I didnt start this thread about my video. Secondly, thats not a "Hey Look At Me" remark, its more or less a question everybody had.

The guy is here to get feedback about his game. Regardless of your personal feeling on the game play, I think we can all look at that example and say something is seriously wrong. While I may have my naysayers for the most part a good bit of the messages in this thread carry a "you could have staged that, but its still messed up, needs fixed in M10" undertone.

With that in mind, your absolutely right I question why a thread closing in on 40 pages goes unresponded. Particularly when a simple M10 break down video of the same play, or just a little reassurance would go a long way to ease peoples minds about the game. Then again, when you have people assigning you an agenda, what else would I expect? Given the fact you have several people at least claiming my video has impacted them purchasing 2010 again I just find it ironic.

As soon as somebody brought up the fact that he wasn't on the board or didn't have much free time to post, did you expect me to not call his bluff. In closing, I have seen several posts in my short time here get instantly locked for starting off "I was responding to a locked thread", so while it might not be clear cut in the TOS, its common knowledge.

Yea, generally if somebody says something I put value into it. If your going to sit here an lie on a message board under an assumed name, then thats on you.

Why is this automatically a bashing, negative video? Im not a negative person, the video isnt narrated in a angry form, its actually quite the opposite. Im just not sure where some people get off saying something meant to be funny and informative is bashing and derogatory. Then again the same people saying that are the same ones gernerally saying I have some hidden agenda.

I have the best job in the world, I take pride in my work and I dont hide behind a made up screen name. Why you guys have to contrive motives for me is far beyond my comprehension. Like I said 5 pages back, some of you guys have some deep routed personal issues if you think everybody does things for a personal agenda.

If you think making those videos would help me get a job at EA, not sure what to tell you. If I were to ever apply, Im sure they would laugh it off and file it under N for "No Chance".

Yeah, but his videos did make a few valid points about Madden 09. With developer interaction, many people feel the need to make their voices be heard in the best way that they can. When someone is fed up with Madden, they come on here and try to pick the developers' brains, but that isn't the route to go. The majority of people who watches RMoody's and Apex's videos are the people who come on here and say that EA Sports sucks or EA is the evil empire. That isn't their fault, but like I told Apex, it brings a lot of panic amongst the forums. RMoody and Apex should continue to make videos because they provide excellent constructive criticism, but the only problem is the viewers' reactions. We're not on OS to rally against EA.

Thanks for totally ignoring the whole point of my post. I seriously don't even know what that little tangent you went on near the end was about. All I said was that the same people who said they have second thoughts are most likely (with a 99% chance) the same people who bash the game to no end and have said BEFORE that they probably won't buy it. Somehow, you took that and went on a rant about your job and hiding behind screennames while not addressing what I said at all.

So there is an agenda when people complain about madden or EA? But when a company promises things that they dont make happen, takes features out of games then puts features back in years later and say they are new, when that same company says "Built from the ground up" but its still has the same flaws and animations as last gen, or when the company has really good marketing and a Hype snowball going that really helps sell the game. That said company does not have an agenda?

We all know its about money. But to say people have an agenda because they dont like the way the game has played the last few years is crazy. They have bought the game for the last few years so their only agenda is to make their thoughts and opinions known. They can make 1000 videos and 10,000 post and its still not going to put a dent in the money EA makes off of this game.
These guys just want a better football game. And its really sad that some of you all dont see that point.
