I realize and your question still got answered, it can be exploited offline too in player vs player games and offline tournaments such as the gamestop tourney or the madden challenge.

How is scrambling to the left or right an exploit? Running with Pat White or Vick before passing isn't an exploit, its what those players do.

Same thing happened with user catching, to remove rocket catching, you take away strafing as a WR. And now user catching is crippled.

Instead of fixing or tuning something, we just remove it. I dont like that. Nor do I consider it resolution.

Limiting what the game can do because of the potential for exploitation by the random, quick play crowd is ridiculous. The answer is to choose better opponents.

I fully agree that the ability to run in wildcat should be available in offline franchise mode. I don't play online and I have no intention of doing so, so I won't comment on online play.

Why is it that because a certain play can be taken advantage of in online play, I have to have a less realistic playing experience when I play offline? If it's going to be a broken play online, do something about for online play. If it's going to be broken in offline pvp play, give us an option to turn it off. People playing offline have had to make house rules for years. There's always some broken play that has to be "outlawed" in offline play. Why is it automatically outlawed for me when I'm playing by myself?

Oh, and the discussion about whether Pat White is going to run the wildcat offense is pointless. The point is that he could run it in real life and so he should be able to do it in-game.

I want the Wildcat to work properly, I hate the Dolphins but this looked like something fun to build a team around in franchise for kicks and its pretty much handicapped. If its such a big thing for tournaments, why not make a "tournament mode" that you can enable in the same screen as your game difficulty?

Wow you get the answer, you know it would be extremely exploited, and yet, you STILL complain, its a slight annoyance, but im glad I don't have to deal with it online or offline, its nice actually.

OP has the "My way or the highway" mentality. I can understand his frustration about not being able to properly use the WC with mobile players and even the audible out of the WC.

Honestly, I dont think I can recall once last year when any team audibled out of the WC. In that sense, it is more realistic but if they changed the logic to how the audible worked in WC when you changed out of it then there would be no exploits. That is minor.

The other limitation makes me smile a little. If you really want to have a QB run around and throw, then sub White in under shotgun and run around. The same thing if you have Vick. I have several friends who will use a mobile QB and it is not impossible to stop.

If they are going to put a limitation on players out of the WC not being able to run in a pass play then they should put a limit on QBs not being able to run from shotgun plays....It doesnt make much sense from that point of view does it?

Overall, I honestly dont care what they do. My friends and I dont use the WC but maybe 1-3 times a game. Even then we dont use pass plays out of it. If we want to pass then we will use a different formation because it if not nerfed.

I can understand the thought process of "He has a RB back there he wont pass from it" and then all of a sudden it is a pass play from the WC. But if the defense isnt on an all out blitz then it doesnt matter that the RB is passing out of it. In fact, it only leads to the RB becoming worthless because the CPU doesnt change their mentality on how they cover and the RB cant take off running.

I want my Kick returner to come onto the field in a convertible Mustang, and return the kick to the endzone while running over players. EA talks about customization, but it's BS when I can't even do this.

Why won't they allow me to play the game I want to?

Amen. I am a strictly OFFline player, but I fully agree with this logic. If I choose to go online and random select an opponent I'm fully aware of what I may be getting myself into.

I also use the Chargers and Seahawks and don't run the wildcat, but would enjoy using it if I wanted to and playing against it in its full form when the CPU team had it in their playbook.

Because that sort of thing never actually happens in a football game. Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

The Wildcat is built on the threat of both a pass and a run. If you can't properly do one of those things then it's broken. If EA intends to simulate what happens on Sundays in Madden, then the Wildcat needs this attribute.
