After breaking two tackles and running for about 40 yards, I got called for clipping. Never seen that before. Also, when I got back to the line, it was 1st and 13.

Clipping is 15 yards from the spot of the foul if downfield, if I remember correctly. Thusly, the penalty occured 12 yards downfield. (+12 yds - 15 yds = -3 yds).

"Even kiel"? Seriously? Where do you get the word "kiel" from? The correct word is Even KEEL.

Possibly former Texas A&M and San Diego Chargers safety Terrence Kiel, who I forgot died in a car crash. RIP.

lol, ya i agree with you about trying them on default settings, but again you know how some people are. Me being a person that would forget to reset to default LOL. I totally agree with you there. I am sure that there is going to have to be some tweaking sliders to get them right. Nothing i wrote was mean't to offend either.

It's all good, no offense taken... and I always knew I was right, that's why I didn't get upset lol.

I noticed that the sideline ref animation of "did he or didn't he catch the ball" is now INSANE. I played ONE game and saw it 5 times.

Good job guys, way to make the cut scenes even more annoying.

I also noticed some funky movement with guys and on one play the cpu did a screen pass and my OLB in position to make a tackle in the open field ran the other way to get engaged in a block with an OL. I have never seen that before and if it happens agian I will know for sure it is the patch that caused this.

Nice to not have the holding on kicks though.

Interesting that it says man coverage has been improved yet my guys were worse at this. Well, maybe they weren't but they allowed some ridiculous and unlikely passes to be completed. Seems it may be a case where they improved coverage but feel that there needs to be a specific amount of catches so you'll get crazy catches now.

We'll see how things go when I start the next season of my chise. So far it seems to play slightly better.

Oh and I don't know if this is from the patch but I was playing the Broncos and they didn't have a single run play in the 1st half and only had 4 in the game. Have never seen a team run that little vs me...will need to play more to see if it was an anomaly or an issue.

Impressions: More penalties Running game esp outside runs more effective ; D-line improvement none really; Pursuit angles better but still had two pick six ; fatigue increased?? or so it seemed as I was really able to close out the clock with Barber at the end against the eagles.
The slot post route still seemed to easy, pretty much 5 for 5 when I ran it.
I just used my current franchise and current my skill settings, so cant read to much into it, but I am worried since my game was shootout 49 - 30... Love the broadcast camera, but I tried coach mode and got bored after one quarter...

Correction - the plays with Fade Routes built into them like I Form Tight Verticals, the fade routes have been slowed down like the slant from the backfield.

I'm not sure about 360, but for the PS3, you can delete the game data utility from your hard drive and that will eliminate the patch.

That's on patch 2. Confirmed. No idea when it's released but there's a whole looooonnnnggg thread devoted to it.

HB Slant out of the backfield is still going to be a problem and that's all I will say.

Im testing CPU V. CPU on Normal speed, All-Pro(just seems too slow now on Slow w/ Broadcast cam).

Portis has 13 62yds w/ 4 btks at the half. This never happened before patch.
Brooking and Mcintosh are leading in tackles, which proves that the O-lines are blocking better, instead of seeing Dt's like Haynesworth leading the team in tackles.

So far so good....

So they didnt fix the CPU all out blitzing almost 95% of the time, that's just great. That is one of the major issues in this game.

LB can I get your opinion on pass rush, and DB coverage since the patch as well as the run game for the CPU and human...question did the patch eliminate the QB walkup to the line of scrimmage cutscene?..
