EA released the first teaser trailer for Madden NFL 12. And when I say teaser, I mean, it's really just a tease. The very brief view shows 10 somewhat hard-to-interpret scenes. Each scene hints at something new for Madden NFL 12, but what are these 10 additions? I'm here to play detective.

I dont get it. Those overhead stadium shots were in Madden 07 and are currently in Ncaa games. I never understood why they werent in M10 or 11. Oh well whatever none of that matters. Bring on some Franchizformation.

If you look closer at the bottom of that snippet, you'll see a graphic overlay come up that isn't the usual scoreboard. I think they may be hinting at a TV style broadcast (maybe not ESPN, but at least something similar) with that bit.

I wonder if we'll actually be able to create a play-book, meaning draw up our own plays, or will we be limited to using plays from every teams play-book to formulate our play-book.

The process you describe is in fact creating a playbook, only using plays EA provides. It's not false advertising.

There hasn't been mention of creating plays yet (there is a difference), though I'd like to see it.

The most important thing to me looks like player roles are back in franchise mode.

If you look at the ray rice bit, it doesn't look like "hot and cold streaks" to me. It looks like the second thing is yellow and a light bulb, meaning some kind of smart player role or ball carrier vision or something.

Also, it looks like we got more presentation elements like cheerleaders and a blimp camera view.

Also, it looks like we got more presentation elements like cheerleaders and a blimp camera view.

I'm not a fan of player roles because that should be reflected in ratings...what does BCV actually do anyway? Seriously. I just notice with low BCV RB's that the o-line just doesn't open holes...

Well as far as roles...it gives expectations that affect performance and can affect the team...makes franchise more realistic, and adds personality on top of other things

Adembroski said earlier in a different thread that only one person has gotten the FG kicking hint right.So sounds like only one person has still gotten it right.

I think the FG box is showing dynamic attendance. I may be wrong but it looks like when the Packers fg goes through the seats are full. When the Miami FG goes up it looks like alot of seats are open. It happens quick so I could be completely wrong, but thats my shot at it.

Wow, that's interesting. I would like to buy a hint!! Haha. Which video? I would have preferred them being much bigger, obviously, but a good start I guess. I just hope they don't perfect the team entrances and never work on the fundamentals of football: tackling and oline / dline interaction. Custom Playbooks should be interesting, especially if I can download someone else's, but not a huge selling feature IMO. I like player tendencies a lot, and I hope every player acts like they do in real life, and same with teams in general.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with hot and cold streaks...Not sure what player role would have a snowflake and it look to me like a flame.

It sounds to me like we are not right, or at least about what I thought was a player role. From what AJ said, I doubt I am the person that got the one thing right.

So even if Player roles are in the game, that must not be an indication of it. Also, it must not mean that the hot and cold is right either.

I don't see what else it could mean. You would think it would have to be some variation of a hot or cold streak. Maybe it means they like cold weather.

I think the field goal is showing a much more intense or pressure type of FG. It looks like the D gets through very fast. Which is very realistic.
