Yea, don't understand the whole "If you're not excited, something is wrong" hype going on. Not saying this isn't promising, but wait for the commentary and presentation-during-gameplay before you start releasing bricks, lol.

I agree 100% about the commentary.
If I get pumped up during the intro, I don't wanna be dragged back down by hearing "and he scores."
Followed by "THE BALL IS AT THE FIFTY!!!!!!!! SECOND DOWN!!!!"Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Video - Presentation
Don't get me wrong. Everything I saw was nice enough, but I'm a gameplay guy. Everything else is a distant second to gameplay. And When I say distant, I mean not even in the same solar system.
Not much wrong with what was in the vid (except the animations being their usual stuttery selves) but my hype button is reserved for gameplay and visual fidelity."You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling."Comment

ahh you just reminded me of the commentary. Now that i think of it Madden is really going to have to be great on the gameplay side as well as franchise because i CANNOT stand Gus Johnson and i just remembered he's in the game. I know people will have the "how can you not like Gus" reaction but i can't stand him because he tries way too hard to make every single thing sound like the most amazing thing that has ever happened. I dont like it when the guy doing the commentary (in a game or real life) is screaming the entire time the way Gus does. Watching him do the BYU game in the NCAA tourny was brutal because he tried to make a simple uncontested jump shot by Jimmer sound like someone hitting a game winning half court shot to win a championship. I find him quite annoying.Comment

Now, I feel you on not being sold on EA' s promise about a rehabilitated Madden 12 until you see improvement in other areas. However, Cam Weber already took the first step with admitting there was a problem in years past and now they are on to trying to make amends.

Video looks great, wish ben roethlisberger wasnt the first out the tunnel since he's always last but for the most part, looks great can't wait to hear the 100+ new features in franchise mode. This song seems like it will be added to the soundtrack which is a plus. First time hearing the song andd im hooked.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Video - Presentation Sizzle
It's amazing how much more interesting EA can make their games look when they start putting more mainstream music on. I've never understood why they put so much metal/alternative stuff on there as they do, but this a step in the right direction!Comment
