Even if they do what NBA2k11 did, it would be nice, but i dont think the development team have that idea in mind.

Also what is franchise mode giving us this year since Extra Point is out. Please dont go back too 2006-2009 madden franchise presentation, because that was a abomination. Also i like the way mike vick stats came up in the sizzle video, but again, will it be just the QB's or all players that show this? Also we all know what the stats and banner looked like in Madden11, they cant look this way again. If the stats and overlays are good like in NFL2k5, then i can accept no halftime show for Madden12, but if not, all the camera angles and stuff mean nothing. The casual crowd isnt really concerned about all that stuff, because most just hurry up and play. Im a older gamer and have experience the last gen maddens and NFL2k series, they need to get this right and have that sim experience that i loved back in the day.
Well here is what is in NCAA 12:

"Look for new montages and highlight packages that showcase the theme of the game you're playing. "So if your dual-threat quarterback is having a big game or a freshman receiver is making a ton of catches or if the defense is getting a lot of sacks," Haumiller said, "you'll see all of those highlights grouped together to go along with commentary to help give you the story of that game." http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/vide...more=fullstory

"The presentation of NCAA Football 12 also adds in GameTrack, montages, new between quarter highlight and score overlays, new stadium camera pans, special openings for BCS bowl games and some rivalry games, customizable Stadium Sounds situations for pregame (‘anticipation,’ ‘entrance,’ or both) and more. If you enjoyed the presentation in NCAA Football 11, you will be impressed by NCAA Football 12. As much as we’ve been able to disclose, there’s still significant new features yet to be announced." http://www.thegamingtailgate.com/for...all-12-Preview

"Maybe you like highlights? There is a highlight update showing those big plays at the end of the Quarter, or when the second half starts and Erin Andrews starts breaking the game down with full highlights of the big plays."

So that's probably a good indicator of how Madden 12 will do these too.

I am hoping that for Franchise Mode, they have some way of letting us view the video highlight montages for other games every week. Either by individually selecting which game's highlights to watch or just watching highlights available for that entire week. Even without an actual "show", being able to select "View Week 1 NFL Highlights" and watch the breakdown of all or some of the Week 1 game's full highlights of the big plays, would be just as good, IMO.

Trying not to let my imagination run too wild but if we are able to save the actual end of quarter video montages and/or big play breakdowns from each of our games, instead of just a few silent highlight plays, that would be awesome. This would at least give each user team a chance to have a video highlight package to recap their entire season, every season, of their franchise. Not to even mention the many possibilities this would create, if this was also available for online games/modes.

Shows? We don't need no stinkin shows! LOL

The bottom picture was with the rib protector though (Week 13 vs Houston). He still looks eerily like Donovan McNabb, who was coincidentally once an eagle. The posture is also overly stiff (like McNabb). Michael Vick ran briskly with his shoulders forward even with the rib protector.

Plenty of time to fix it in time for August though.

I would venture to say that most of us guys on this site don't give 2 shyts about the intros that they show us every year. These look just as good as they always do. SO WHAT!!!!! Are we gonna get more than the stuff that we always skip over after we've seen it twice? I love Madden, probably NCAA more but this doesn't do anything for me just yet.

I have to say this years videos are looking good. So far my only complaint is the horrible soundtrack playing with them.

I don't know why everybody is getting so excited over this video. Shouldn't we be immune to the marketing hype that comes out pretty much every year for this game?

Ya, it does look great and news about EA working with CBS broadcast teams to design the broadcast angles and stat overlays sounds promising but its just the intro screen. It'll be fun to look at the first 5 or 10 or 20 games you play but pretty soon we'll all just be skipping it to get to the actual game play.

Personally, I'm waiting to hear what EA did with franchise mode before I get too excited.

The video was pretty sweet, it adds alot to the experience. Right now I want the game and right now I want to buy it. But since I have 4 months to watch more gameplay videos and play the demo in August, there is no need to run out to gamestop to preorder the game today. But I like where this game is going!!

wow, even the shoes get dirty. this game looks amazing. i must emphasize looks, as i refuse to let graphics sway me into believing that the game will play as it should. but all of the little details they're adding sound a lot like the stuff an nba 2k11 or mlb the show would be adding. so it does appear that tiburon has been paying attention to what the heavy hitters have been up to and are reacting accordingly. i look forward to seeing some unedited game play and finding out how well all of these new assets work together.
My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10

3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.

the hype train leaves the station every year. and yes, i too am jaded to its intended effect. but i'm not cynical to the point that i can't appreciate the improvements that they have made.
