Maybe just Maybe some people need to LOWER thier expectations to some level of reality...its still just a game and will NEVER meet everyones expectations.....

NO ONE HAS EVER EXPECTED MADDEN TO BE PERFECT!

      What people do expect:
3+ year legacy issues/bugs to be fixed.
An overhyped mode that hasn't been touched in 3 years to finally get an update.
Things from "that other football game", such as head/ball tracking, WR/DB & OL/DL interactions, football fundamentals per position, etc, to finally be implemented correctly in Madden after 6 years of waiting.

Basically, we just want the bugs fixed and for the gameplay to finally add these long-needed features that a 6 year old game had.

Like I said in another thread. It is a game, but it's not a free game. People expect the game to be bug free when the company releases it. The fact that EA releases the game knowing it has bugs is enough to send someone into a tirade. Every other game that is released gets put to task for bugs and glitches, so why shouldn't Madden. If people are really bothered by this, Proboards offers free customizable forums if you'd like to make a community where no one can say anything bad about Madden. Unless, you like calling people out and starting arguments...

It's like people expect a new game engine every year. Look what happened when NBA Live tried to introduce a game starting from scratch with Elite. I just expect a game to be tweaked and refined as it goes along each year with a few new additions not a complete overhaul. I don't need a new feature every year on the back of the box to sell me on a game. It's not like their aren't enough modes to keep people busy already. I do think though sports games should go bi-yearly but that won't happen as they sell regardless.

I don't care about new additions. I just want what's there to be done correctly. I want to feel like I'm actually playing a game of football. Like the previous poster stated, head tracking, O-line/D-line interactions, DB/WR interactions, players not disappearing, players not morphing into postions, Linemen not disengaging their blocks as soon as I touch the sprint button, running the ball to actually set up a successful playaction, programming that makes it so the CPU doesn't know exactly what play I call.

Bascially, I'm just going to have to take a wait and see approach for when the first next gen Madden comes out.

Your right things at this stage should be functioning better with what's been in the game already just refine it.

The one thing I'll never understand is how people pick apart the o-line and d-line and just analyze what's going on... WhoTF is watching that when playing the game? Then they go to instant replay and just sit there complaining about it. Who cares?

Lord I hope you sure do not wait for the 1st next generation Madden...that will make you cry..IMO Madden 06-08 were trash on the 360. I played all those years on Last generation consoles and PC. 09 was a step up, Madden 10 was a quantum leap forward...11 was Madden 10.5 and as dissapointed I am in the Online Franchise Mode of no new additions, I am happy with the offline franchise and hope it will be included in Madden 13.......along with changes in the ONLINE FRANCHISE. Maybe next year.

Well would you agree that pass rushing ratings and blocking ratings mean almost nothing? I mean, I really don't know how the game decides who wins a head to head battle on the line. Doesn't really matter anyway since every player has the exact same moves, and they all stink.

Well, that's true, so I guess I'll be waiting 4 or 5 years then. No big deal.

This fits perfectly with my opinion of some of the posts. I am having a great time with the game. I also have some annoyances with the game. I can understand members issues with names being called wrong, some members complaining about statistical anomolies. What continues to mystify me is why after however many years of playing the game, reading reviews, making comments, complaints, and constructive criticisms about the same issues yearly and seeing the following years game, people believe that an issue is easily fixed with a simple algorithim . I sympathize with those who want perfect interactions with WR/CB or Linebackers without an "S" on their chests. It seems that everyone at one point or another goes through the five stages of grief with Madden, NCAA, or any other game no matter what year. What some of us have to realize, is that expectations will be raised with the tooting of horns by publishers, lead designers, and Frank from accounting touting the newest features and how all issues have been fixed. Those expectations realistic or not will be driven by hope and fluff by team leaders for a new year or a new IP or existing one. (Anyone remember Ben Brinkman's 3 year MLB 2k plan?) Madden went the same route with Madden 10 with Ian, 2 and a half years later he bounced for his reasons and we are hearing of a new 3 year plan. Its the nature of the beast. Companies can't please everyone. I am not an EA sympathizer in the least but at least in their case, with patches and tuners, they have been trying and will continue to try.

Im enjoying this game, does it have flaws yes but this game is much improved, best Madden this gen. Plays alot smoother than the demo, vids dont do any justice for how well it plays.

I see this type of thread is the new cool and trendy thing to do on OS. People make a thread saying oh I am enjoying the game blah blah blah, these forums are going crazy with all these negative threads blah blah blah, do anybody else agree with me, I need somebody to agree with for I can feel better about myself blah blah blah blah.

I am not worrying about little issues, I am enjoying the game for what it is and because I said this statement, I can be part of the mature crowd blah blah blah.

Honestly these type of threads are just as bad as the game is broken type of threads. All you are doing is cluttering up the board. We have an impressions thread for a reason.

And I am tired of the notion there are a ton of negative threads all of a sudden. When in reality it is the same amount that it has always been on OS during the 1st week of a new game.

Some people will always not like a game, some will always like it. At the end of the day, only thing that matter is YOU.

But all these individual justification type of threads needs to stop. Whether or not you love the game, hate the game, use the impressions thread please.
