Actually that's not what he did, nor is it what you did. But keep up the agenda.Comment

If this thread would have been more civil, I would have just read through it and not posted.Last edited by bucky60; 08-27-2011, 04:55 PM.Comment

Re: Wow...is anyone having fun with this yet?
I'm 50. I got you beat. And games/HD/Dev tools were a lot less sophisticated 30 years ago. (Back in the Hand Held football days, and the PONG Days).
Hardware, Development tools, Development techniques and technologies, and video games have gotten a LOT more sophisticated since then. There is nothing wrong with having reasonable expectations. Like expecting things that were in games 7 years ago, or fixing bugs that have existed in the game for almost a decade. There is nothing wrong with having your expectations a little higher.Comment

And I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the game. I'm looking forward to hearing what anyone has to say about it.Comment

Re: Wow...is anyone having fun with this yet?
Nope nothing at all with higher expectations....remember the original handheld football that were red blips and 4 directional pads. I will take what we have over that any day. Patches and tuning updates are part of life now. Basically 9 month development cycles...deadlines...it is not an easy job, I wouldnt want it..and if they read these boards, I bet they feel pretty unappreciated right now...as you would.
It just doesn't even make sense to compare 30 years ago to today.Comment

This isn't directed at you but I'm so sick of hearing people complain about "buying betas for 60 bucks" or "I deserve this because I paid 60 bucks". You know how much I paid for Tecmo Bowl when it came out on NES. 50 ****ing bucks! So I paid almost what I paid for Madden 2012 but for some reason my expectations should be light years ahead of what my expectations were back then?
I RARELY go into impressions threads because of the nitpicking and over dramatization of every bug or oversight in a game. I just play the damn game. I like football. Madden does a decent ( some say good) job of simulating football for me. I don't care if the passing stats aren't perfect or the Browns color palette is a little off. I respect that some people demand more but I'm past that. I guess I'm too old to bitch about this stuff anymore.Comment

Re: Wow...is anyone having fun with this yet?
I said if you don't like the game then don't buy it and that my expections were NOT what they claim they are if you like the game.
No where did I say anyone was wrong that they didn't like it. I only said some gamers feel if the game isn't to thier liking thay they are owed something (from the developers)
That and they have to post 1000 times so people can see them. Never said they couldn't like the game.
I don't care if anyone buys the game so I don't care if they like it. That's the difference.Joshua:

Re: Wow...is anyone having fun with this yet?
You are asking for more than that. You want all those things plus you want yearly improvements and a guarantee that those yearly improvements won't cause new bugs. If Madden still had last gen graphics, none of the new features that its added over the years but fixed bugs like penalties, weather issues and online issues that have plagued it for years...people would still call EA lazy and argue that it isn't worth their 60 bucks.

Re: Wow...is anyone having fun with this yet?
In what was basically a call out thread against anyone with issues, the stuff in bold has some implications. Maybe I over-reacted to you, but my message was really for the flavor and direction of the thread. And I ask you, why then, are you not commenting on those being critical of posters that have some reasonable issues with the past Madden games and some things they see in 12?Comment

Re: Wow...is anyone having fun with this yet?
For those saying that some of our expecations are too high, I must ask. We played better Madden games than this one six years ago, for systems that had lower capabilities than these do.
Is it really to much to expect that they can make a better football game than the one they made in 2005 or 2006? I don't think it is. I can't justify dropping money, especially 60 bucks on something that has glaring issues.
I'm one of those people who can't just sit back and enjoy the game for what it is. Having it be fun, and having it be technically sound are one in the same for me.Comment

It's like, you want nobody to comment negatively on your posts, while some of your posts unfairly blasts others.Comment
