I've had it occur using the Lions as a base book. All my newly added shotgun formations outside of the ones there got into the Hail Mary formation.

It seems only a few playbooks have this issue. I made another using the Saints and it worked as normal. Not sure what the trigger is that would cause it. I don't mind though as at least they're all grouped together.

Thanks for that info. I'll try the saints book and see what happens.

ok what playbook did u use as your base playbook???

S.F. , But don't use that one because it'll put all your shotgun in the Hail Mary formation. Use the Saints Playbook because I just tried it and it works.

I'm glad the fields are visually pleasing now. However most of my complaints weren't addressed but I'll still enjoy it til next patch. Mostly UDFA and completion percentage. This patch is a great start though.

Is it just me or is the regular season scouting messed up now. I can only do one week and it won't let me scout players anymore

Seems like the Gameplay is more "WIDE OPEN" than before...

I know they worked on something with the Cover 4 Defense, but, judging from my 1st game played post patch, it seems as if Pass Defense is completely broken now... I couldn't cover ANY WR's, and guys were "just open" all game long... Zone, Man, nothing worked...

Also, it seemed like none of my players would "read run" on Defense either... Which allowed for the HB to TORCH my defense to the tone of 250 yards... Previous to this game, I was the #1 Rush Defense in my Online Franchise...

If you like high scoring shootouts, and no defense whatsoever, then you'll LOVE this new patch...

PS - I know they "say" they didn't address any gameplay issues, but, to me, there is "something" different about the Defense... I can't put my finger on it, but, something is just different...

Thats just flat out bad programming and shows the intro were just a gimmick to make the advertisements look like it had added all this presentation. They could have easily programmed it to say the name and the college of every player.

I love defensive football games more than anything, but unfortunately thats just not how the NFL plays anymore. The defenses have no choice but to play more conservative these days which leads to high scoring games. There are only a few teams in the NFL that can consistantly keep an offense to 20 points or less. Most scores are in the high 20's or 30's. DB's can lean into their hits anymore, the barely can't even put there hans on the reciever when trying to bat down a pass. Theres no intimidation factor for opposing receivers anymore. So therefore if you dont have a DB rated in the 90's you're gonna get smoked by the recievers, which is why I think its actually kind of realistic the way Madden 12 is set up. Of course Ive had to adjust sliders. Currently I have 3 CB's rated at 92, 88, and 83. The qb Barely throws at my best CB and when he does, he pays for it. Sometimes he does get burnt in man coverage, but id say 75% of the time he shuts down the reciever. My 88 overall CB plays well but gets burnt here and there. Id say he defends the pass well 60 - 65% of the time. My 83 cb gets INT's here and there but probably gets burnt 50 - 55% of the time. If you adjust the sliders and just keep playing with them, you can make it work. I bumped up the QB ACC to 90 and the WR catch to 95 and my pass reaction is 45 and my pass INT is 60. When the CPU lobs a long bomb i feel as though both my CB and thw wr will both jump and fight a little more for the ball.

ok got a problem here. i set the PA play i wanted then deleted all the plays. but i was forced to keep a PA play out of a shotgun formation in the saints playbook that i dont want. what am i doing wrong??

Played a Franchise game post-patch and for the first time ever, the CPU destroyed me. I had 4 INT and a fumble and couldn't really get anything going. I lost 38-10.

I need a new playbook.

ok got a problem here. i set the PA play i wanted then deleted all the plays. but i was forced to keep a PA play out of a shotgun formation in the saints playbook that i dont want. what am i doing wrong??

You'll be forced to keep one PA play and all you can do is pick one that's in that base Playbook and delete all the others. It does kinda suck, but at least you can get 4 plays that you want as audibles.
