Props to EA on this game, Madden is finally headed in the right direction. Commentary is really, really good! Graphics are much improved (everything looks cleaner now).

Only things I'd complain about is the game speed (could be a tad slower). Also Redskins were attempting a game winning drive and never called any of their three timeouts. They used no huddle but never called a timeout (even with 00:03 on the clock). I also didn't like how I couldn't see the play clock/game clock during play selection at times during post play replays. Outside of that it was great!

Also cool thing I noticed...

Press left trigger then you can adjust your entire defense with the left stick, try it sometime.

I like some of the new tackle animations. For example, I was running Helu Jr up the gut and a lineman got pushed into him, making the HB stumble and crash into the blocking in front. It just reminds me of something you see every game in the NFL.

Actually pretty impressed, my only issue so far is defense....though there's always an adjustment period...

I am pleased they put sliders and other settings in the game (speed, threshold, penalties). Very nice touch.

Infinity engine can be seen even after the plays.

Commentary is a definite upgrade from Hammonds! Haha

As someone pointed out earlier, cant believe on a fumble the ball was actually being kicked around!! Awesome.

Always wanted to see this in madden.

The physics engine seems to be tuned really well. The presentation took a huge step in the right direction. The audio crew should pat themselves on the back, because the field is just alive. The graphics are outstanding.

I can't find anything I don't like about this game!

Heh, sorta the same thing every year.. Early adopters give quick praise, and then a few pages later the real dissection of the game starts happening. Anyway, seems decent so far. Way too many dropped passes on all-madden. Kinect is not as responsive. How do you do manual hot routes now?

pretty solid game some the catch animations are really a nice touch and the psychic cbs are finally gone i just have one issue the cb's still reflex on turns are too fast if the receiver makes a cut the cb shouldn't be making a faster cut to cover the ball yet should be trying to reach it

I Only had time to play one half. Played on all pro didn't touch the sliders, game speed slow, conventional play calling, accel clock off. I was the 49ers. At the half I was up 21 - 3. Had a punt return for a TD, and an INt for a TD.

Not yet impressed with the game. I'm seeing a lot of guys bumping into each other and falling down like clowns after the play is over, looks foolish. The players still have that robotic look and feel to me. I'm hoping the final build will be more polished.

I'll put more time in after work, and see if my first impression changes.

I can't believe nobody is complaining about how frequently players are tackled by just running straight at each other and clanking helmets together. I've seen it at least 10 times already.

Won my first game on All-Pro w/ Slow speed threshold @ 0. 21-3 Skins.

RTP seems to be driven by a lot of the animation already present in Madden. It's a welcomed implementation, but I was really disappointed to not get a real fresh feel of hitting a ball carrier. Once contact is made it kicks in, but like I said, it's not really driving a lot of the animation like I was wanting and hoping it to.

Passing game feels a lot like NCAA 13, but I didn't pass too much. I think I was 8/10 for a TD. Defense still feels a little outmatched in coverage.

O-line vs D-line is still in serious need of reconstruction. But we all already knew that going in. Physics does give defense a little more of an edge, especially in getting the ball carrier or QB down. QB's getting their blockers shoved into them aren't just throwing the ball into or out of the contact.

Run animations are still not natural looking enough. Player movement and play in the trenches need to be the headline additions for 14.

CPU just ran the ball with 1 second left for the final play of the game. Problem is that they were at my 45 yard line roughly and down by just a touchdown. -_-
