That like makes NO SENSE. How can you say that is wrong than say how 1 vs 1 is most use game mode online and OFFLINE? Break down the numbers than showing how many more play that mode online compared to offline. I know you are just blowing up smoke...... TONS more people play offline be it 1vs1, chise mode or superstar mode. Getting really tired of some, (not all but this one for sure) GCers saying things just to say them to make EA/Madden look good.......

Obviously to make them look good too. I mean who wants to be blamed for major oversights?

No one can ever accurately, truly gauge how many games are played offline.

Just because EA claims a certain number of games have been played online doesn't mean they can realistically figure in how many games were played on a system that has never seen an internet connection or games that were purchased used and played without the online activation. Their numbers would be all over the place and at the end of the day it would just be estimates.

Remember, 97% of statistics are made up on the spot...

Ok, then EA lies to Game Changers, that must be it.

Or co-op season/playoffs mode, a core gameplay mode that's been in the Madden series for over 15 years.

You can always say within 5% to to cover those stats.

Here is what a developer emailed to me a few years ago.

Something like 95% of people play/try Franchise mode.

Now, I didn't ask them to break down online vs offline, but with their telemetrics they use, I understood it to mean every time you turned on your respective console, they could tell what you were doing while playing Madden. And they were big on this telemetrics.

                    Just saying.

Wow, there are more made up stats in this thread than in an elementary school lunchroom.

I don't see why that first quote from Peter Moore is getting ripped on so hard. Every single business in the world feels that way. Moore was just stupid enough to say it out loud.

I can buy that. I can also buy that EA can keep track of how many online games are played and how many people participate in online events. Those numbers are right there on their servers.

I am just pointing out that unless they survey every gamer who doesn't play online or log in, they can never fully determine what they want to know for things that don't involve an internet connection.

                            That's why.

There's discussing profit, and then there's sounding sleazy by admitting your company wants to have a non stop connection with customers so they can try to suck money out of them at any given time.

                            It sounds manipulative.

Yea, and then there's something called artistic integrity (e.g. "Electronic Arts") something the company was found on, and exemplified 10+ years ago. That comment/quote conflicts with the idea that there's any artistic integrity left in the product. But we've already known that for a long time now.

I've tried online, I just cannot deal with the unrealistic play nature on most games. I can't even begin to explain all the scenarios but some of you know what i'm talking about.

So the only time i'll go on "Franchise" is to download the latest roster, which was mandatory on part of EA. You would have to go to a matchup with someone and download the roster and sometimes it doesn't even go through so I have to find another opponent and wait for the roster to download then I exit leaving them searching for another opponent lol

If that's the stats EA is tracking, they are in for a tailspin.
