I can buy that, too, I just feel the people that plug into the game and turn on their boxes are greater than the people who don't have a connection.

    Maybe I'm wrong on that.

I don't really think it came off as sleazy. Was it the smartest idea to say it out loud? No, it wasn't. Why? Because when you're the face of a company people love to hate, such as EA or Walmart or Gamestop, you really have to be careful in regards to what comes out of your mouth. Had the makers of an indie game such as 'Limbo' or 'Bastion' came out and said this, nobody would have even given it a second thought.

I dont know where half of you guys been lol but seriously...it baffles me reading some of these reply's..it almost seems like a bunch of guys just wanted to come troll madden 13.

There is a franchise in madden that is offline

As far as Moore's remarks..i do not see nothing wrong with them at all... lets face facts..video game consoles have started implementing community, socializing type features in their systems and games from the start of this generation and its only going to continue to grow.

You guys are blowing his remarks out of proportion to the point it just seems like a troll thread ..just because.

Not saying all you guys are trolls..but its simple..really it is..if you despise EA and cant stand madden 13...why waste you're time here then? To rain on the parade of those of us that are enjoying madden and you cant? Either way..its childish and immature to just sit around here and bash the game to death or anything that relates to maddden or EA..its so stupid and immature.

If you dont like the game or hate EA...move along..go some to another section or forum for a game that you actually enjoy and spend your energy on that rather than wasting your energy here spouting out stupid hateful remarks ..it's as if "certain" people go searching and digging for anything that will allow them to dog EA.

Ever been to a party and everyone is having fun and a great time then some belligerent drunk walks into the party and starts spouting off beating their chest like superman thinking they are some smart mouthed arrogant tuff guy that just ruins the party? That to me are what trolls remind me of...

First off, nobody is raining on your parade. Just like you ask us to not post here or come here, you can do the same as well.

It's a matter of opinions. I have the game. I actually was on the fence, but bought it from someone yesterday afternoon for 45 bucks lol

Clearly there are trolls and people who voice their frustrations. If you can't tell the difference between the two then I don't know what to say.

And finally, yes there is a franchise mode, but they gutted it to barebones franchise. It was as if they had to, to appease the online side of gaming which shouldn't be. The editing function, co op franchise, season mode, etc, all were part of the game. This is why we are voicing our frustration.

PS: If we were to accept the game as it is without voicing our opinions and let the devs do whatever they want, is that really the best way to do business? If I was a developer, i'd want people to voice their opinions so that I know and see what I could do to fix the problem before it escalates going into next year.

Asking a question that he does not know the answer to does not make the man a troll. There is a difference between ignorance, confusion and trolling.

Remember, "He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he who does not ask a question remains a fool forever."

Re: Interesting, somewhat upsetting quote by Peter Moore if you're an offline player

We realize that you can technically have an offline franchise in CCM. I don't think people are missing the point on that. What is ridiculous is the fact that there is zero roster editing capability. You can't even edit equipment.

                There's something wrong with that.

roadman, the link you posted with the developer interview over at the EA forums made me feel worse. I mean, people were very upset about the fact that roster editing was gone. I never saw where he issued an apology or anything. All he basically said was he realizes it's important and it's on the "top of their list for the future."

That... It almost makes me laugh. I don't get mad easily... I really don't. But that pisses me off to no end. He damn well knows that they stripped features from us that many of us enjoyed. We're in the age of massive roster editing and that is now gone, and all they can say is, "Yeah, we removed it because it doesn't fit OUR agenda. We knew you would be mad, but honestly, we really don't care. Now, I will tell you that we'll consider putting it back in the future to try and dupe some people into actually believing that."

OS might as well get rid of the roster sub-forum here, as it is now useless.

I am shocked that these features were removed, and not much shocks me anymore. The game took HUGE steps forward on the field but massive, unforgivable steps back in other areas. No roster editing? Really?

Someone wake me up and tell me EA really didn't do that and this is just some type of a dream?

I'm a coach and I'm supposed to have full control, yet I can't run a 3-4 with the Seahawks and move Bruce Irvin to an OLB/rush end type spot.

                  Makes sense.

You're being hypocritical. Follow your own advice... If you hate this thread so much, why are you here? This is a privately owned forum and unless the ToS is being broken here, people are free to say what they want and you're free to not waste time trying to impose your will and acting like a moderator.

Your analogy misses the mark completely. Some very elementary and essential features were taken away from a SIM community, so of course there is going to be a lot of upset people here.

Focus on the posts that are positive and let others vent. There's no harm in that and as loyal customers, we have the right to be upset and voice our displeasure with it, in hopes that the right people see it and rectify it.

                    Thanks.

I see this as a reality of a large video game company responsible to its shareholders. Every sign has been pointing this direction for the last few years.

This isn't about innovation for gamers, this is about innovation for revenue. Moore has a job that he wants to keep. Anyone else in his shoes would be forced to do the same thing.
