so the 9er defense basically shut down the high powered feared Packer Offense for most of the game..(before switching to soft coverages late in the game).
yet the only defensive change we see is a DECREASE to our starting Safety? who played well.
where as we got a few increases in the Oline which was already underrated in certain aspects.
I would've expect that they would increase certain defensive players in the game (who are already underrated, who can use the help), that made a difference...like our other starting CB Terrell Brown and our second year 3rd CB Chris Culliver who basically ended the game with a great play one on one with Jordy Nelson deep.
or Navorro Bowman who is listed in the 100 top players...who played a heck of a game, and got a key INT, after baiting Aaron Rodgers (which RARELY happens)...the look on Rodgers face was priceless....and he is one of my favorite QBs in the league.Comment

I agree. I always think it's stupid that EA updates after every week. It should be quarterly .Comment

That is even worse. So now we can't protect our starters from injury in the preseason. I guess D. Ware will have to play special teams the whole game.
I'm disappointing that we get older rosters while the new is available to other modes (at least give us the option), but I was at least hoping we could go and sign some low level guys for preseason. Unreal. It's just one idiotic thing after another.
If you have more than 53 players you will be able to make cuts.
The point of the 53 man rosters is that some people want their team to start out in their CCM the way they are in real life. This way you could just use the preseason to get guys exp that you know made the cut in real life.Comment

What do you expect them to do, add some random generated players to your team?
You can sign whoever you like... even with the 75+ man rosters, you could cut it down to 53 as soon as you want... you don't have to cut only the amount of players it suggests after each week of preseason.
I think you missed my point as you are saying the opposite (I think). I was saying with no cut down days, I'd assume that 53 is your max roster size (maybe bad assumption). If that is the case you can't sign random guys. As for what I would have them do? I'd have them give us the option of using any roster we want or at least allow us to sign up to 75 guys for preseason wk 1 and then still have cut down days. Better yet, give us updated 75 man rosters to start our season with. Before you say I can't have it both ways... I know, I know. Sounds like we can't have it either way. That sux.
*EDIT* OK, so it looks like my assumption of no more cut down days = a 53 player cap is wrong. If so, I'm good.Last edited by shunsing; 09-13-2012, 02:32 PM.Comment

Will they fix all the incorrect positions? Every long snapper on a team is set as a TE, ratings are in the 40's, and no way to actually set them as long snappers.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Update Details - Week 2 For Play Now, CCM Gets 53 Man Roster
I'm guessing the CCM roster tomorrow is the ONLY CCM roster we get. You can delete your save and use the default 75 man roster, or you can download the opening Week 1 roster.
The fact that they took 6 extra days to get it out leaves me to believe that there's something going on within these rosters and they had to test them out extensively before shipping them out. They originally said "early in the week" and now we are getting them tomorrow. My guess was that they were aiming at Tuesday but didn't finish testing them in time and just pushed it back waited a day or two longer to send them out with the Week 2 Play Now set.Comment

I play multi year "franchise" (and can no longer edit my own) so I would like:
1) A 75 man roster of real guys to begin Preseason 2012
2) No re-rates based on IRL Week 1 2012
3) No FAs that are rated as instant starters for teams they are not on

I agree. I don't get why people get so caught up on ratings. It is to the point where fans will want any player that has a good week to get a boost in ratings. Redskins fan probably think Alfred Morris should be a top 10 back in the league.Comment

Anyone surprised about anything? I thought Ogletree was pretty low at 67 so I sent in that 7 point increase, his release was horrendously low (in 50's) when in real life he's excellent at beating press coverage. I requested it be boosted to 79 which is fine for now, however, I think Ogletree may be the best WR off the line at getting out of a jam.
My surprises:
- Brandon Weeden only dropping a point
- Tracy Porter jumping up and astounding three points, it's amazing what an interception in crunch time will do for you
- Andrew Luck not losing a point. He looked like a rookie, and this is the guy that everyone said was more prepped for the NFL than Peyton. I know, I know it's only Week 2, but still. The overthrows to Wayne really had me leaning towards decrease.family above all...HiiiPowerComment
