Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
I don't know why anyone would choose "no thank you". I would never use it, but it's a no brainer that it should absolutely should be in the game for all the people who do like to play this way. Even it the A.I. was like, Commander Data from Star Trek good, the option should be there for folks.Jordan Mychal Lemos
@crypticjordan
Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
To me thats not a valid reason though. Thats like asking for a bandaid rather than a fix to the real problem of cpu ai. Id much rather have that then babysitting all the other teams.
But thats just me. I dont have a problem with them taking it out but its not yours or my decision in the end so it is what it is.Comment

Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
One last thing: The exclusion of this feature has caused me to shelve Madden this year. I was willing to use workarounds to control and play with multiple teams but when I realized how much work it takes just to undo the constant CPU moves. For example, in the new Madden roster update, Darren Sproles starts for the Saints. However, in the my last online CCM, the Saints benched him (coming off a game where he had 150 combined yards) after week 1. The Bucs also cut Ronde Barber and the Texans signed Plaxico Burress. There were several other moves by the CPU that I would have to undo. Just too much work to run a realistic season.
For people who want their own fantasy league and only want to control 1 team, CCM is damn near perfect. For people like me who want more control, its the worse addition in Madden history.Comment

Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
Fixing it is a damn pipe dream. EVERY sports game has shaky cpu roster AI. From the Show to NBA 2k to NHL. I dont understand how anyone can say they are OK with it being taken out. Thats a purely selfish position. I dont play Superstar mode or Co-op or Fantasy Drafts but I would never be fine with removing those features. Why? Because thousands of people use these modes and would be furious if they were taken out.Comment

I want all of those features because I want the option to use them (even if i dont) and I want other people to be able to use them.Comment

There's too much I want out of this game for me to worry about what everyone else wants.Comment

Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
This is a good point and i hadnt really considered this as noone i know personally gets involved enough to play franchise/ccm and only care to do play now games instead.
As for the next guy, no i dont believe u should be able to play the game however u please as it is this mentality that has crippled madden for a decade now. Its because people think they have a right to play however they want that this game doesnt prevent players from using the same exploits year in and year out. You really dont think these exploits go unfixed because ea cant do u? No they go unfixed because then all the tourney players would cry about having to learn real football strategy.
I'm not talking about "in-game" stuff. Like exploits and all that kinda stuff. I talking about not being restricted in how you wanna play your season mode.
So yes.....if you pay your money you should indeed be able to play the game however you wish. The Lord is my shepard.Comment

He probably uses the workaround to make weekly depth chart and roster changes and undoes things the cpu does like cutting key players. He has to do this every time he advances the game though and its a ton of work.Comment

Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
Like I care if ppl online that I've never met and will never meet think I'm selfish. I care about my gaming experience and could care less about anyone else's. Bottom line, game play needs further improvement before I start worrying about specific modes.Comment

Re: Option to Control All 32 Teams in Offline CCM Mode
Those things have nothing to do with each other. The team that works on CCM is separate from the team that works on gameplay.Comment

We're talking about two different things.

Its two totally different mentalities . Online cheesers and tourney guys seek to find and exploit week AI in order to benefit
By and large offline franchise guys want control in order NOT to benefit from week AI
Comparing or grouping them together is absurdComment

The bigger the market the higher the sales
The higher the sales the more resources to improve the things you enjoyComment
