I think the locomation is much improved. I am suprised EA did not highlight that this year like usual. Really enjoying the demo. Rodgers is crazy accurate. Only issues are sometimes can not turn up field after catching flat route, instead player runs in a circle first. Also have not been able to sub to 2 backs in Spit shotgun formation, only allows rb and te or fb. Lastly, Ray Rice did like 5 tornado spins to score a 39 yd run, kinda weird.Comment

CPU Tyrod Taylor held onto the ball a lot longer and was noticeably slower choosing a receiver, but he was still making the same quality throws as CPU Flacco.
This was on default All-Pro difficulty.Comment

I had a game today where I injured Joe Flacco early on and Tyrod Taylor ended up playing most the game.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
played one game using the Ravens on all pro, very slow, default sliders. It was a fun game but had an arcadey feel to it. I ended up winning 10-7 as time expired with a FG.
What really stood out is the amount of turnovers in the game, though it could just be an anomaly since I only played one game. I picked off the CPU 3 times and I got picked off twice and lost a fumble as well. Also, I tripled their time of possession. Slider tweaks should help.
I'll most likely buy it only cuz I skipped last year (first madden game I skipped since the franchise started) and I have the itch to play this year.Comment

We need Procision Modifier on defense for the defensive linemen and pass rushers and Ball Hawk on offense to make receivers go after the ball like they do on defense.Comment

Have to say, I am very impressed. Obviously I am going to wait for the full game to judge presentation and the commentary but overall I was excited when playing the game. I noticed the same glitch where the players somehow turn invisible but for the most part it was only for a little bit then you could see them again.
I enjoyed the skills drill, took me back to Madden 05 where I felt I was playing out the different drills in Training Camp. Wish they could have gave us a peek at Owner Mode by at least having us go through what it is like to relocate a team.
Now I did not get Madden 13 so going from Madden 12 to Madden 25 feels like a brand new game to me, and sounds like I am going to have a game to occupy me until I can get a PS4 and move on to Nex Gen Madden down the line.Comment

Been playing Madden since 93' and telling from the demo it is the same as last year. 2K needs their hands on football ASAP. Maybe the next gen incarnations will make for better but I will stick to fantasy football to get my fix.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
Ok, being an NFL junkie I finally got a chance to play about 15 games of the demo. I'll start out by saying I really liked NCAA, and I am NOT a college football fan. I haven't bought an NCAA game in 15 years. That being said, i was encouraged at the slowed down gameplay, smooth player movement and most importantly, the line play, pocket and pass rush seemed balanced and realistic.
All that being said, I find everything that I liked in NCAA completely absent from Madden. It's hard to believe the same company made these games. I see a lot of herky jerky movements from the cpu QBs. For example, Aaron Rodgers dropped back to pass and my coverage was really good. I noticed he had not thrown the ball for a good 10 seconds, then I look and I see all of my pass rushers are laying on the ground. All of them. Cliff Avril gets up, gets close to Rodgers, and Rodgers runs to his right, then throws the ball across his body and the field to Jordy Nelson who came back 20 yards to catch the ball. This is the embarrassing crap that made me despise this game for so many years. This crap doesn't even happen in NCAA. On top of this, the play literally lasted 15 seconds. That's not an exaggeration. There is still absolutely zero pass rush in this game unless you user the DE. How could NCAA get this right and Madden not? WTF? Once again, we will have another year of QBs throwing for 500 yards. You can still manipulate routes too easily with the "throw your receiver open nonsense". I threw a pass to Zack Miller who was running a deep post. I waited too long but pressed up on the right stick. Miller instantly shot forward breaking off his post to catch the "streak" I threw. This is hot garbage. I thought this was tuned down.
Words cannot express how disappointed I am. I really enjoy NCAA and find the game to be the best EA football in 10 years. I've been around for a long, long time playing football games since the Atari 2600. Why is it so difficult to make a realistic NFL game? ugghhhh.
I REALLY hope that the retail version of the game is MUCH better than this. Not having a pass rush is a killer. It will once again be Madden-ball sending 6 or 7 on every play trying to get pressure instead of properly using your personnel. Any speedy 4-3 pass rushers will be completely useless. What's the sense of having bookend DEs if they don't ever get upfield. Once again, NCAA really got this down.
Player movement is not bad, but not great and the blocking and run game are nice improvements. I still see a lot more silly looking and twitchy movements in Madden than NCAA. My initial impressions were very positive after I played one game, but after 15 games, I'm now pretty down on it. The crazy thing is, I've logged about 100 NCAA games, and I am really enjoying that game. I'm not even a college guy at all.
I won't touch upon the presentation or other aspects yet because everyone else has. I just don't understand the issues with the pass rush and the silly "throw across your body while running backwards" nonsense.
sigh... It is what it is. I'd give the demo a 5.5/10.Comment

If you're getting the ps4 or Xbox one, just wait for the (hopefully) better next gen version anyway. The current gen madden looks absolutely abysmal by today's standards. It's gameplay is probably about 5 - 6 years behind also. So yeah definitely don't waste your money. Just wait a few months and get next gen madden. Plain and simple.

I personally like the pass rush, its still possible to get sacks, its just that you won't get 7 every game. The issue that has plagued Madden for years (the DE consistently beating the RT) is finally gone and the game is better for. Try rushing with more that just 4 and youbwill get results.Comment
