You are right, it is dumb, to me at least. Not going to sit here and knock it though because it's been proven that people like that sort of game. It is a quick and easy moneymaker.

I doubt 2k would go through all this trouble just to put out a card game though, it just seems too unlikely.

I'm not saying it can't be successful or profitable, but I hope this isn't why they nabbed the NFL and NFLPA license. Let an indie company do that kind of stuff, heh. We don't have 2K's lead gameplay and AI programmers working on that, I hope.
Trust me, there are plenty of people who pour money into those Supercard apps lol. I only used the MyNBA2k apps in the past to farm VC from just doing quick games. As soon as the app drops, I would see people with stacked decks from the jump. Some are just that into those types of apps.

I'm fully expecting a NFL Supercard type app. I doubt it is the main thing they are doing, but it seems doable for them

Don't be surprised if they delayed release to next year because of lack of install base on the ps5 debacle

          What?!

Why in the world would they do that when the game isn't releasing until July, August or September?

They've already stated the game is on track to release on - time and that we'll see something a lot sooner than expected.

Where did they say this? Not questioning - I just must’ve missed it because I don’t remember seeing that said.

I'm having a hard time locating the exact post you're trying to link. However the link takes me to a page where all the posts are over 6 months old. It's entirely possible for a software project to be on track to to release on time when the planned release is a year away and to no longer be on track 6 months later.

I'm assuming he was trying to send you to this post (and link) from last month.

Not much, but assuring that it is on track. Still think Superbowl-March is likely time to hear something especially with the "sooner than many expect" .

Apologies, maybe it does something different on a phone/another login than when I do it.

I'll just quote the original post I'm referring to, which has a link to an article:

I'm not really familiar with SGO but how credible are they?

I think they're less relevant than they used to be, but they are a bigger online name and are much more reliable than Joe's Crab Shack Gaming or whatever else may be out there.

Unfortunately, the game is not coming out anytime soon.

“While we are very excited to once again be working with the NFL and the NFLPA, our first title under new these partnerships is no longer expected to be released during fiscal year 2022,” Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said during the company’s full-year earnings call on Tuesday.

“2K will have more to share their plans for their football plans going forward.”

My guess is July of next year to release ahead of Madden.

That was my expectation for this year, so I can see that for next year.

I wonder if we will still hear information on the game when 2k when they discuss over games around E3

Could get a teaser of some sort but that's being pretty optimistic at this point.
