Re: Anthony Chau of 2K sports interview more or less confirms a 2K Football game in 2
just wish they would do it already...damn what EA would do about there product...they have proven over and over again that they are not interested in establishing new features and excitement...just keep the hardcore fans happy. Its not that madden is horrible, its that 2K brought something else to the table...and the table needs a little something now...When you see it...you'll know what it is...Comment

Another solid piece of that interview, Chau says, "There's a couple of special projects that are...in gear." Perhaps the other is a Boxing title as the interviewer suggests.
I'm pretty excited about this, and I'm certain that 2K is well aware of what that interview has done.
Does EA have a license on that?Comment

rugby won't sell... at least in the states. i doubt it'd be considered a big announcement.
golf (they have rights to Links I believe) and boxing are probably the big ones. maybe tennis.Comment

Re: Anthony Chau of 2K sports interview more or less confirms a 2K Football game in 2
I think those are the ones. The boxing license will suck if they are still planning to release it with Don King. 2k already has a tennis game, Top Spin.Comment

You can tell that Chau, as a PR guy, really really really wants to spill something.
I'll keep holding out as long as my Ex-Box (I'm coining that term here and now) and 2k5 keep working.
Some compulsive F5-refreshing on the 2k page may also occur.Comment

RMAO!!!! i love it!!!! ea sports is trembling right now.....and if they ain;t, they better start!!! this is the best news i have read in a while.....while it is more spec than fact, this is just so frickin awesome. 2k and football shall rise from the ashes!!!!! if you think about it, ea basically dug their own grave by getting the exclusive rights for NFL games.....by gettin the rights, and continuing to produce sludge and putting name Madden on the cover, they have shot themselves in the foot. ha!! perhaps if they had some balls, they would have kept it an open arena for anyone to make a football game (like 2k) and tried to improve their own games. instead, they ran and pulled the Goliath card on 2k. well, looks as if they are about to get bigfooted by their own big Goliath foot, if indeed 2k does come out with a new football platform in '08. man this is great....
bye EA. don't let the door hit ya in the arse on the way out. lol
and here's a question to any EA rep that's readin this (and you know you guys are all over this board): what is the problem? why have you guys not implemented a half time show recapping the game highlights??? you should be embarassed that feature is not in Madden....not even on the 360!! that is, simply put, pathetic. 2K had this feature on the xbox, and that was how many years ago?? i am so glad you guys bought the rights to make NFL games....you just gave 2K the time they need to really put the final nail in yer coffin. buh byeGO CUBS

Re: Anthony Chau of 2K sports interview more or less confirms a 2K Football game in 2
hmm, for some reason i thought topspin was part of the MS lineup (along with links, inside drive, etc.) which is why i thought they may purchase it. was that one of those games? or was it always VC? i haven't played topspin in years though i remember hearing the latest version was pretty good.Comment

Re: Anthony Chau of 2K sports interview more or less confirms a 2K Football game in 2
Take2 bought IndiBuild (which were reponsible for Top Spin, Links and Amped) from MS a couple of years back. The studio was closed this spring.
Regarding the "interview". The only thing that was confirmed is that 2k5 will never be bc on the 360.Comment

Great interview... 2K is working on something for football... there's no way he answers the question like that if there's isn't something there.
I'll wait until next year... LOL"Well the NBA is in great hands but if I had to pick the single greatest player on the planet, I take Kobe Bryant without hesitation." - Michael Jordan, 2006Comment

Re: Anthony Chau of 2K sports interview more or less confirms a 2K Football game in 2
Yeah, a great listen. 2K boxing game? Including Mike Tyson would create a ton of free press, even if much would be negative.
Somewhere along the way, it seems about everyone agrees there is a football game being developed... just of question of when (or maybe if) it gets released.
I just want official word from 2K Sports, so we can move onto the debates about what custom features NEED to be included and how it will NEVER match the hype and expectations, etc.Comment
