does anyone know the code for the helmet high tackle attribute, or any other hidden attribute in this game. i found a hidden attribute called 2-way player, and it is defined as this player has the skills to play two positions.

I have not gotten into editing the teams yet.

All I've messed with is editing players.

Check around eariler in this thread, and I think someone had some details on how to edit teams.

In this particular case, no, it is not currently possible. You need the exact same number of letters or more than the number of letters required to replace a name otherwise it won't work. Since Lions is a 5 letter word and lynx is a 4 letter word, it wouldn't work. However, if you want to replace Americans with Eagles, for example, that is perfectly acceptable. The change would go from ".A.m.e.r.i.c.a.n.s." to ".E.a.g.l.e.s. . . ." in the editor. Hope that helps. Once an editor comes out, maybe it will solve this issue.

Yes I learned about the generics resetting the hard way.

Thankfully I had an older backup file to go to.

I really wanted to get the Lions uniforms more accurate because they are a bit off as I have them. But I can't change anything about the team right now because it will reset all the generics.

It's amazing how much more fun the game becomes just seeing the names of real players all across the field instead of seeing generics at more than half the spots like we are used to.

There are 2 or 3 generics still popping up on special teams that I'm trying to get rid of, but I haven't been able to locate them in the roster file. Once I find them I'll reup the roster file.

You can change a team name that has 5 letters to lions and go in the team edit screen and select them, For instance you can change Bulls to Lions. The Lions will still be listed were the Bulls were though and not in alphabetical order.

So you agree with thedude47 that you cannot change a 4 letter team with a 5 letter team, you have to find a team in the roster with at least the same number of letters. Right?

You can change a 5 letter team to a 4 letter team and just put in blank spaces at the end. For instance, you can find a team like the Blackhawks and change it to the Jaguars and put in blank spaces at the end of the name.

the attribute for the 2 way player is 10 3 slots down from the jersey number.

Cool. I wonder if there are any more than those two. Presumably the "2-Way Player" attribute was designed for Sammy Baugh.

It would be cool to make a High School team full of two-way players.

WRs playing DB. OL playing DL. HBs playing LB.

Obviously it would have to be paired with stamina, but I wonder how well the ability works.

Also, did we ever confirm the slot number and code for swim?
