i had the same problem too but what i was doing was that i wasnt on the main user for my vista. so i switched users and did everything else on the main user for the computer and it worked all the way up to the point where i had to drag the gamesave back onto xport. anyone else know what im doing wrong?

Xport 360 (all versions) and Vista when UAC control is turned on. If you right click the Xport 360 icon and “Run as administrator” you can access your 360 HDD but you still cant drag and drop files to it. The only solution currently is to turn off UAC control in Vista. Hopefully will fix properly in the next version (see codejunkies for updates).

To turn off UAC control in Vista: Open control panel, open “User Accounts”, the option “turn User Account Control on or off” is the second option under “Change your picture”.

My wife has Vista and I can confirm, Vista won't let you transfer much of ANYTHING onto or off of your PC with UAC enabled.

UAC is the most insane OS firewall I've ever seen.

I turned off the UAC and I still have black boxes. It's giving me the icon that makes you think its transfering files but when you drag and drop it does nothing. I didn't know if it worked so I hooked the HDD back up to the xbox and there was only my original files. None of the new ones I tried to transfer showed up in the load menu on 2k5. Please help I'm so frustrated

It works. You just have to disable user account control before it allows you to drag and drop. The easiest way to do that is click the Windows button (start) and type UAC in the search box. Turn it all the way to off, restart, and you should be good to go.

If it still doesn't work after that you may need to right click on XPort and click "Run as Administrator" when you open it.

Yeah I solved my problem, I had disabled that and ran as administrator. It didnt work until I signed in as administrator.

I am having the same issue and im running it on windows 10. At this point I would gladly pay someone to get me the most up to date rosters or how to do it.
