I just have to ask.... how easy is this plug and play.... reading the directions look like i will get lost.

i am 22 so i grew up with technology and know the 'basics"...

am i going to be constantly editing things or its it kinda set from the start (i know i will adjust sliders.)

To be honest i am not even interested in updated rosters (Hugh Sean Taylor Fan n wont play without him.) I think i want to just have the fixes that you all talk about. Also i have the feeling that this is one of those things that is easy to do when u get it? As in sounds harder than is?

Yes, it's much easier than it sounds. The "fixes" you describe are mainly through slider work and some ratings tweaks. If rosters really aren't a concern then you can make this game about as real as you could hope for with nothing more than these in-game tools.

For a bit more depth and updating though, I would recommend using Finn's editor too and just play around a little. You can update the coaches, player ratings (including large attribute values-0-127 instead of 0-99-that can be used to up the challenge and realism a bit more if you so choose) and other things as well.

As for Taylor, if you want to play with up to date rosters AND have him in, you can just copy him over from the original roster to the updated one in Finn's editor as well. He's a rookie in this game, I believe, so you won't be losing anything in terms of stats.

Once you find a slider set you like and are settled into a franchise or roster set, you shouldn't have to do too much editing anymore. You might find yourself tweaking sliders from time to time to perfect you individual experience, but nothing major once you get "set up."

        hope that helps

I had no success using Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Neither Xplorer nor XPort could detect the device as X-Box. I used the HDD on my Win XP Home PC and it was no trouble at all.

Did you disable UAC (user account control)? This turns off all the blocks and should work just fine (120gb at least...haven't tried 20gb). I have ultimate 64 bit with no issues. The trouble is, it seems as though the higher you go up in Vista, the more Microsoft puts the locks on you...lol.

No. I just got frustrated after accomplishing nothing and just went to the older computer. I took the easy way out.

I've convinced myself that Micro$oft makes technology incompatible with it's own technology.

                      9) A window will come up and you will select your HDD (it will most likely come up as "Device 1: XBox 360 Hard Disk Drive Size 20.00 GB) and then click "OK" or "OPEN"
                      10) Now select "Xbox 360 Devices Connected to My Computer"
                      11) then select "device 1:xbox 360 hard disk drive size 20.00 gb"
This part does not come up for me. Don't know why.

I'm trying to update the roster in finnseditor but for some reason after I save it I still have the original file on my HDD. What am I doing wrong?

After you saved it, did you remember to transfer it back to your HDD? It does not save it to your HDD, it saves it to your Computers hard drive (wherever you have the file-usually your desktop).
