    Need tips on passing!!!!!!!!!!

I have moved up to all pro and I have increased cpu's passing coverage. So far, my only tip has been waiting until the qb finishes his drop steps before getting the ball out? Does anyone have any additional tips?

My tip is use maximum passing, and use it wisely... same with how much strength you put behind the ball. Remember your receivers' routes, and look for the open man. If it's like... 2nd and 5, use the Z Speed Out play, and throw it to your circle, he's usually open... I forget what the number is, like 50 or 90 or something.

Um... don't know what to tell you about long bombs, I'm still working on that.

Also, KNOW YOUR QB'S RATINGS!!! If you have Vick, know to pass it strong, and scramble often. If you have Brad Johnson, you know you won't scramble. If you're Kurt Warner, if you watched the game last night, keep in mind that you gotta get rid of the ball BEFORE you even drop all the way back so you don't fumble it. However, you have Orlando Pace, so I suggest if you find an open lane for Warner to pass it to, go to whichever side Pace is on.

Um... use the play action. That seems to fool some ILB's on this game. I've seen it work often.

Final thing, the person with the red arrow for his route is the one that breaks the same time as your QB stops his drop... remember his cut, check how the DB is covering him, if he's covering your receiver on the outside, and if your guy cuts INSIDE, pass it to him, and expect a completion.

Not sure what else to say. Hope that helps.

Take a 5-7 step drop, all the while sizing up the pass rush. At the end of the drop start your receiver progression. Choose "pass zoom" mode. Experiment with the most usable "Custom Camera" ever in a football game.

Don't be afraid to throw the ball away either. Keep the pass russ in your peripheral vision so you don't get sacked, and BE PATIENT - just wait for one of your receivers to beat the coverage. Also, be aware of what is in between you and your receiver; if you're throwing over the middle, lob the ball, but if you have a relatively open route with some eager DBs nearby, throw a bullet.

It definately takes some practice, but after playing a few games of ESPN I think the passing game is much more realistic(and fun!) vs. Madden. Madden sometimes degenerated into pickfests, with DBs picking up unnatural speed after you throw the ball.
