    Re: Need tips on passing!!!!!!!!!!

Don't be afraid to throw the ball away either. Keep the pass russ in your peripheral vision so you don't get sacked, and BE PATIENT - just wait for one of your receivers to beat the coverage. Also, be aware of what is in between you and your receiver; if you're throwing over the middle, lob the ball, but if you have a relatively open route with some eager DBs nearby, throw a bullet.

It definately takes some practice, but after playing a few games of ESPN I think the passing game is much more realistic(and fun!) vs. Madden. Madden sometimes degenerated into pickfests, with DBs picking up unnatural speed after you throw the ball.

D@mn, thanks for the tip. I would have never thought of that.

One thing I do is I hike the ball and don't touch anything. Your QB will drop back by his self or roll out if the play is designed for it. That way I don't end up Getting sacked for 10 yards because I kept moving back .

Try and do your best and read the defense both pre-snap and post snap. It's much harder pre-snap this year with all the fake blitzes. I let the QB automatically do my drop back while I make my post snap read. Know your receivers routes. I am looking to see what the linebackers and safeties do after the snap, depending on their actions I'll hit my primary reciever if he's open or I'll check down to my 2nd receiver. I usually have 3 things in my head that I will do after the snap. For example If it looks like cover 2 and safety moves to cover my fly route on primary receiver, I might then hit to my 2nd receiver who is running post over middle. If outside linebacker blitzes my RB might be open in flat on same side, etc.... Know where you want to go with the ball depending on the coverage and what the D does after snap. Just like real football.
