This issue is not Cheese its what the player does when you adjust to it. If you stop a person who plays gimmic ball he is more likely to quit or some other forms of ending the game to avoid the lost. Many times its people who are ranked or who are only concerned with rank and will resort to low means to keep their "status". Playing human player face to face you sometimes come across people who resort to cheap even in real life terms play to win. In the long run these games are very winnable but boring and quitter in person just gets laughed without any reflection on you.
Define "Cheese" as it pertains to games of course.

Ya gotta love people who have never played online, thinking they have a clue over what is going on, and what is wrong and what isn't.

I'm guessing this was a jab at me. I have played online, and don't see no "cheesing" or whatever reasons you use for your losings.
Running with Vick is cheesy, whatever.
Going for it on 4th and short, is cheesy? Whatever.
Just like I said, bunch of whiners.

Must have been directed at me. I never made a claim to having a clue. Goober asked a question, I answered with what I remember people complaining about in other posts. I apologize if my interpretation of Cheese was incorrect.Comment

Re: Define \"Cheese\" as it pertains to games of course.
I posted this story in another board, but thought it would make a good example of cheesing and how not to play online, plus it has a happy ending!
I was just playing online and the guy I was playing against was using the Bills. He kept calling basically 2 plays all game. It was a toss/sweep play out to the right side. He got some good gains on it at first and would usually break a few tackles along the way. Then he would replay each one for me. Pretty quickly I knew I was playing against some 12yr old or some jack***.
During his first drive, I finally found the play to stop it - Bear Defense and have my safety blitz to that side. Now I am hitting him for 2-3 yard losses. Once in a while he'd try and run up the middle, but couldn't get much. You'd think he'd at least flip the play or something. What a loser. But it gets better.
I kicked a field goal before the end of the half and was winning 3-0. The second half, I just tried running as much clock off as I could. about 1 minute left in the 4th qtr I have a 3rd and 7 at his 30. I complete a pass to my tight end for a first. He immediately goes for the quit option. When it asks do I consent, of course I say no. So when he has to confirm it, he says no too and it takes you back to the menu. Then he goes for the quit option again and we do it all over again. We continue to do this for another minute, I'm thinking no way am I letting this chump off easy and keep not consenting to his quitting. He gives up that and tries to go into the controller select screen despartely searching for a way to switch teams or something, who knows. Finally he quits, I don't consent, and he gives up. I was happy to get the win (3-0) but it's players like him that can make online play so frustrating. Acutally, I was just happy to stick it to this loser, I could care less about the win for me!Comment

These are some great responses. I love 'em. I'd gladly go online if I had:
1) the money
2) the time
3) a divorce! lol. j/kComment
