Does anyone not cheat online?
I just got cheesed in two consecutive games online (xbox and now about half of my games have had some version of this bullsh!t) and I'm p!ssed off. NewJerseysBest (or some thing like that) who is 22-0 and now I know why, and Bone Cruser (thats right, Cruser, dude can't even spell) both just taught me how cheating will never die. The whole five minutes of pause time is stupid, because it is way too much time which with rapid fire pausing can stretch out to an eternity as I found out waiting out Cruser (did eventually get him to quit after a 5 minute game took 1 1/2 hours and we still had 4 minutes to go). Then I have the other guy in my very next match who waits for me to call my plays, then changes the camera angle on me to side view. If I don't call a play, I get penalized for delay of game, if I do call a play I have to run it in side view or play his bullsh!t button pushing games which I don't have the patience for. He eventually takes the lead (I was only up one score), but on the next posession I actually score on side view against this idiot to take the lead with 20 secs left. He then starts me on the pausing crap which actually runs my time down faster than his in the quit screen menu. How can I loose time on the pause menu when it is him pausing....NICE ONLINE DESIGN THERE VC!!!! I eventually just left the game because at least I know that I had won the game. All I want is to play legit games of football against other people, and not just the CPU. So design the freakin interface so that it doesn't penalize those who are trying to play the game properly. And whatever you do, him changing the camera view shouldn't affect what I see. Sorry if everyone has heard this before, but I needed to rant for a minute after wasting the last 2 1/2 hours. Thanks for listening, and if you ever want to play a straight up game of football, look up Lord Sin if I ever go back online.Tags: None -

LOL, I have never heard of this. I have however...& beware of the onside kick trick. Three games have ended with these guys kicking the ball high, short & to the left. Their guy then jumps in the air and gets it...everytime. Luckily nobody has done it unless I am killing em'.Comment

Re: Does anyone not cheat online?
Lord Sin the next time your on-line check for my gamertag Oil Chemist and I will play you. I just started Live last weekend and I have played 2 games of ESPN football. The one guy was going for it all the time on 4th down, even 4th and 24, I finally got ahead of him by 7 points and he just quits. The other guy I played just quite on me after 3 minutes into the game. I think allot of these players are kids who cant stand to loose. I'm a veteran player and I'm looking for someone mature enough to play and have fun whether you lose or win. RandyComment

Re: Does anyone not cheat online?
Leagues do add a layer of policing to discourage cheesing, pausing, quitting, etc.
The more cheesing and quitting there is in random exhibition games, the more people will flock to leagues and the more they'll be motivated to stay in the leagues.
Developers can encourage people to join leagues by putting in features like online leagues and ultimately online franchises. Since most sports gamers like things like stat-tracking and franchise mode, offering stat-tracking for online games through online leagues and franchises would be an incentive for people to play within the context of leagues, where there could be policing of how people play.Comment
