I have been playing the SIDE view camera and at first it was very disorienting but once I got used to it ( after about 1 complete game ) I simply cannot go back to any other camera....its just too fun and realistic at this view. You really see the play develop in a broadcasted way and the smaller zoomed out players look and feel so much more realistic, especially when hitting the holes and trying to take it to the outside on sweeps.....so much fun. I am actually able to run better from the side view because I see the defense better from the different perspective and can react with better angles and cuts. Even running up the middle, which would seem very difficult atr first, is not a problem anymore. And pass coverage on defense is so much more fun and easier now....No more blown coverages that lead to instant CPU TDs. I have a whole new love for this game from the SIDE view. it kinda now reminds me of a suped up version of an old game I used to play with my older brother many years ago....Super Tecmo Bowl, which was so addicting and fun.

Re: ESPN Football....Can we discuss some of it\'s WEAKNESSES?
I really have to vent here, because there are so many great features to this game and the computer refuses to utilize them. First of all the bomb is the biggest oversight and VC needs to get that right. Secondly there is the predictable play calling of the computer no matter what team you use. For example I've noticed the same annoying pattern from each and every team. First down is usually Pro package or maybe a Queens package here and there. If the computer picks up any yards, on second down 99% of the time they go to a two or three tight end set, Jacks, Jokers or something like that. Even on 2 and 6 or 7 they get into goaline offense. Then on third down it's flush package, or another goaline set if its less than 3 yards to go. I close my eyes and pick my defense because I know whats coming. That has to be changed! Another thing about the passing game is that the Qb directs the majority of the passes right down the middle of the field rarely utilizing the sidelines. And even though there are many special moves for the RB's they won't use them all. In order to get the full effect and excitement from this game the CPU has to utilize the plays and the skills provided.Comment

Re: ESPN Football....Can we discuss some of it\'s WEAKNESSES?
A lot of these comments (running anims, passing arcs) I have heard before. I think there are some great observations here outside of the wishlist thread. The more posts I read, the more I learn about the likes and dislikes. Quick question in regards to stats and such. Does the spreadsheet look actually enhance the "readability" of the screen or should aesthetics be more of a consideration? I ask because that was a tough area last year and I think we leaned a little towards the dry spreadsheet look. Lots of info available, but, perhaps a little too black and white. Stat boys like that stuff?Comment

aestehtics should be more of a consideration....especially when it comes to stuff like the Team Stats or the Mock Draft. Everything seems jumbled together.
Better sorting should be used also...like...we may want to see which DE leads the NFC North in sacks....theres no way to do that in Nfl2k4. You can't even sort the Leaders by Conference and thats wack.
Is it possible you guys could just use ESPN.COM as a league news interface in nfl2k5?...allowing the user to navigate the site with the analog stick and then clicking on "links" with the shoulder buttons? If possible I think that would be Hot for the game next year.
Here are some other suggestions on that...
ESPN.com In NFL2k5 part 1
ESPN.com In NFL2k5 part 2
You could use this for the entire espnvideogame lineup.Comment

And that's where a USB mouse and keyboard would kick in (that would be SO cool to be able to search for players and stuff).
Otherwise, if you didn't have a USB mouse, then follow what SimCity 2000 did for PSX... you used the D-Pad for a mouse (or we could use the analog stick now that there is such thing).
Does anyone understand what I just said?Comment
