NFL2k5 Title Poll
All right NFL2kers, I want to hear your opinions about this whole 'branding change' thing. I believe that part of the reason ESPN NFL Football did not sell very well, is because a lot of casual gamers out there avoided it. Mainly due to ESPN's poor, poor NFL games in the past. I thought that people would see 'ESPN NFL Football' on the cover and immediately reach for their copy of Madden 2004, linking the name to the horrors of the past. Some NFL2kers disagree with me and see the new product title change from NFL2k_ to ESPN NFL Football as a positive, which will get more and more attention and sales as time goes on.

Re: NFL2k5 Title Poll
Most casual gamers never played the old terrible ESPN games, and they also never played much of the 2K series. I don't think it makes that much of a difference at least when going up in Madden, but I guess having ESPN in it could help a little.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConn -

Re: NFL2k5 Title Poll
Nobody even knew that those other espn games existed.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: NFL2k5 Title Poll
They can name it "Pigskin Battle 2K5" it doesn't matter to me. As long as Visual Concepts is still making it they can name it what they want.
ESPN NFL's problem is lack of advertisement and support by the ESPN itself. If They want ESPN videogames to sell better they need to plug the hell out of their titles. I would have commercials with actual game footage with real players talking smack. I would hold a super bowl week contest and have it air on ESPN 1, 2, 3 and A, B, C. I read one of their ESPN magazines and it only had one ad for ESPN NHL hockey in it. What's up with that? There should've been ads for all there current and future games all through that magazine.
How do ESPN and VC expect people to buy their titles if they aren't behind them and doing everything in their power to try and make it a success?Comment
