Well here's a few things to check for
1. did you adjust the penalties
2. Did you turn on multiple hot routes
if so either of those would be your reason for the no show of in the trophy room. It took me 3 times winning to finally realize those had to be set back to factory settings in order to recieve the trophy..hopefully they'll fix this for next year as it seems the trpohy and unlockables where aimed at the casual user who cared less if there stats where super inflated...Damn VC

I know I didn't have any penalties or multiple hot routes adjusted. I even deleted the My Settings file in the main directory to be sure everything was default.

I tried simming a regular Season and the first few rounds of the playoffs. Then I took my time and played the SB on everything default. I won it and still didn't earn the trophy!

I'm wondering now if one of the downloads we were given on Xbox Live made an adjustment to the game. When it was first bought, everyone was just simming a Franchise season or a regular Season mode and then legitimately playing the SB to get the trophy. Did VC correct this with a patch?

I'm thinking the only explanation now is that the game requires you to actually play every game of a Season or Franchise year in order to get the trophy following a SB win.

Nothing else explains this.

P.S. Just to be sure that my Player Record wasn't corrupted or something, I specifically earned a couple of other awards I hadn't gotten yet (a Primetime goal and a menu objective) and both showed up just fine in my Crib. The problem is solely with the Super Bowl.

This is interesting Hostile. I played my Super Bowl this weekend, won it, then replayed it using the default settings and I did not get a trophy either. My hot routes were turned off, no penalty adjustments, everything was default. Still, no trophy. I also read what you said about having to physically play every game during the season (no simming) in order to get the Vince Lombardi Trophy. I can say that this is not the case. Reason? The first time I won and received the trophy in my Crib, I played all of my playoff games at ten minute quarters. As you can see, I would not have received the trophy for playing the Super Bowl at default 5-minute quarters, because the pattern would have already been destroyed from my 10-minute quarter playoff games. There must be some sort of a glitch with the game.

This is one of the important fixes that NFL2k5 needs: The ability to achieve a trophy in Franchise mode regardless of sliders, settings and quarter length. I hate having to play two Super Bowls every time I make it there just to get the Trophy. Now, even this is no guarantee that you will get a trophy for your efforts.
