I don't know if you read my post earlier, after seeing the visuals up close and personal, and understanding, that FPF will be in 5.1 DD, I went and purchased my XBOX that evening after leaving E3. I'm not a 2 system person either, mainly because of time, but the XBOX is beatiful game, the PS2 graphically looks good, but not beautiful.

I will be getting it too on PS2. I mean there is a graphical difference but not enough to make me buy a whole new system. I mean the Xbox has a old crappy Geforce 3 chip in it, it can only look good not great.

I'm going to attest to this also. ESPN Leagues were too cool. I just knew I had everything with playing ESPN with online leagues last year on the PS2 with all the stat tracking on your website. It was just Sega's servers that really were annoying. So annoying that I traded all my PS2 equipment in for XBox equipment. I was hurt in the process all because of the online leagues but I had to satisfy this gamer's cravings and that was playing online. Plus the games and XBox LIVE eventually won me over. It's good that the PS2 HD will be supported.

I'm not one to tell people how to spend their money or which platform they should enjoy games on but I have to say that if you have the money to get an Xbox...do it. I don't think you'll regret it -- especially if you are a sports gamer. The harddrive is a beautiful thing in that you can save as many seasons as you want without counting memory card space. The harddrive is also being utilized this year in ESPN with the VIP system and some other gameplay features. You'll also be able to implement your own tracks into the stadium music.

If you also have a broadband connection and are willing to sign up for XBL -- it's worth the price of admission alone. Personally, after about a couple of weeks with a new game, I only play people on my friend's list. You don't have to worry about cheaters or quitters when you are playing against people you know a bit online. I play a bunch of games with strangers and put all the people I like playing against on my list. Once your list is stacked, you should always have access to a fair game against someone you like playing against. I'm also making it a goal this year to find people online who'll play all their games in a league and I'll just stick with that league. Maybe we can even get something here going.

The final thing is that the Xbox has better frame rates, looks better (especially if you have a HDTV), and has better sound. It's pretty much a no brainer if you have the money.
