Not sure what you're asking here. Are you talking about transactions or are you talking about editing players attributes ... or both?

I've always found you need to do the actual player movements in the game (but keep the editor loaded with the same file nearby as it's easier to search for a player that way). But, attribute changes and depth charts movements are easier to do with the editor. Of course, you'll probably be better served by doing movements first, then bring the file over to edit and/or do depth chart movements.

i dont have a ps2 /ps3/ or xbox . i just play thru pcsx2. was wondering if they have a roster editor there like they do for usb import to the consoles. i just want to be able to edit the player names because the game limits me to certain amount. If there is a better option can you advise me, or is my best option transfer and play thru consoles?

It's best to use Finn's editor for this, then.

Re: TD's NFL 2K20 Roster File

I think I used this PS2 version of the file (MAX) as the base and then applied the edits (large attributes) I had come up with a long time ago. This isn't going to be for everyone and will require the right balance of sliders. The goal is to cut down on cpu passer interceptions primarily(initial test game had the Bears throwing only 1 INT), while providing the chance to play games more in keeping with today's NFL.

I didn't really add or move many players around and as a Chiefs fan, made sure their personnel was pretty much spot on. I did find current stats and changed the run/pass % to what is in keeping with 2019 teams to date, but that's about it in terms of those types of changes.

Initially, those who haven't tried it get taken back by the relatively low overall rating for defenses vs. the reverse for offenses. This is to be expected in light of everything that gets tweaked and you have to change your mentality. This is strictly about in-game game play.

Addendum: these seemed to work very well in the 1 test game for CPU v CPU as well. 2 INTs thrown by the Browns (1 to a LB and 1 to a D lineman, despite catch being at "0") and 1 by the Chiefs. Really good stats all the way around.

                Truly great stuff here. Question:

With all teams set to auto management in the franchise save here, is there a way for me to still control 1 team at least without AI interference?

Edit: Fixed by downloading the Finny 4.0 editor and assigning myself to just the Lions.

Also, what is the consensus on using the weekly preparations? Unfair advantage? Noticed it was defaulted to off in the franchise save, but curious as to why.

                  Thank you

I don't know if you were around when 2K5 first released, but it was very hard to get your team to do well to your advantage, actually. Somebody once released an article on how to prep certain positions certain ways, but then at that point it feels less organic and more like checking boxes.

It's a cool system, but without 2K ever being able to patch it so that thing would kind of work out nicely by your desired approach, it was best to just disable it.

I'm guessing having realistic salaries would only create issues down the line? As in, the editor probably doesn't let us adjust the salary cap nor will players know to ask for more money based on modern dollar standards?

So I am completely new to all of this but I can't seem to figure out how to get the updated rosters on PCSX2. I've looked through the forum but this doesn't seem to be addressed but I could have missed it, if I did could someone point me in the right direction? Please and thank you!! BTW this game looks amazing on PC in 4k!!!!
