What does NFL 2K5 have that Madden still doesn't have?

I don't have the game just wondering if Madden will ever put in cool features such as a Sportscenter wrap up show, First Person Mode, and gang tackles.. I think it's kinda ridiculous that 2 years after another NFL game already had these things, it's not in a next gen version of Madden.

...and a great presentation and good announcers. Yeah, that game is still great 2 years later. I am not partial to either company, but Madden really needs to get it together. Madden's gameplay is a little tighter now, but everything else is just below standards for a next-gen game at least.

How's about what does Madden have that 2K5 doesn't? I loved 2K but in no way was it perfect. Unfortunately many of you don't admit to the problems.

There should have been more in the 2nd next gen release. Next year is the year I think we will finally see ESPN presentation.

As far as presentation goes the overall package of NFL2K5 took advantage of the ESPN license, no question. OTOH while some complain about the Radio Announcer in Madden I think it's very cool and different at the same time. Hopefully EA can add a second man to the booth.

Like others have said the gameplay in Madden 07 on the 360 is pretty tight but has a few unpolished issues to go along with a pretty good Football game. IMO this years winner is the PC version hands down, beautiful graphics and uses the 360's grass and it doesn't skimp on features.

I still have and play NFL2K5 but Madden 07 on the 360 while not perfect is not a pile of junk. Infact some have brought this up that Madden 07 on the 360 feels a little like NFL2K5.

I always heard 2k4 was better than 2k5.

No doubt that I thought I would hear this phrase already. Madden has been out officially a couple of days and already we are hearing the same old < next year >
              saying.

No, we won't. EA's even said flat out that they're going for an "on-the-field" presentation, and they like the direction everything is heading in for future releases. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE THE GAME LOOK LIKE A SPORTSCENTER BROADCAST.

I liked NFL 2K5, but this is getting old. 2K5 did a lot of things well. But there were also plenty of areas where it was behind Madden 2005. Franchise mode for starters.

Despite its flaws, I enjoyed 2K5 ... two years ago. Let it go already.

Re: What does NFL 2K5 have that Madden still doesn't have?

I think its funny that so many people hold on to the 2K series as the messiah of football. I think both games have their good and bad. What I do know is that if 2K came out with a new gaem there would be plenty of complaints about that. I didn't feel Madden was worth it this year and just rented the game. A game is supposed to be fun and if you don't have fun with it don't buy it...or if you did buy it, trade it in while it still has value. After a while what I find tiring is that people take the game of Madden personally. Like EA is peeing on your shoes...they are in the business of making games. Just like every other business out there. Sure, post your opinions and have fun, but man there seem to be more important things in life to give attention to.

As much as I liked 2k5, it had some big gameplay flaws. Yes the graphics and presentation were awesome, but the gameplay flaws were there.

-qb spy defensive hot route(or w/e you wanna call it) didnt work.

-running game featured way too many broken tackles

-db ai was HORRIBLE, worse than any game ive seen

-the game had a small defensive playbook. about half the size of madden's.

^^^ those problems for me were far worse than cb jetpacking in madden, or mario running. thats why i rented 2k5 but bought madden 2005. madden wasnt perfect, but it was better than 2k5 imo.

NFL 2K5 had gang tackling and much better player interaction. It does not get stale as quickly as Madden.

The DB ai was pretty bad which made it hard to defend against the pass... That's definitely an area where Madden excels. Even w/ the flaws, 2k5 was a damn good game.

nope......broken tackle mania + terrible SP teams play..i ran 1/2 back every game

but i do think the commentary did step back in 2k5...almost like they took some things out for more memory
