Madden'09 for the PS2 is the best football game of all time for me.

It's feature rich, has a robust franchise mode, and even though it's gameplay did not introduce anything innovative, it has benefited from four years of refinement and fine-tuning since the groundwork was laid in Madden'05.

I played Madden'09 (PS2) a lot last year, and this year I updated the rosters and started a new franchise. I'm all set for another year...

Madden 2003

I say 2003 because I was in college and my roommates and I literally got through like 7 seasons. The franchise mode was much better than it is now and it didn't have as many money plays. Had it's flaws but had some great long term gameplay.

22, Madden 2005 is my favorite. I would say 2k5(the best presentation ever), but the gameplay was not my style. My close 2nd was the NFL Gameday franchise for the PSX.

Tecmo Bowl for the NES was a game I played every day after school. I loved that game untill Blades of Steel came out. Lol! I cant say 1 game as my favorite, so I'll just say my top 5. And they are Madden 99, 04, APF 2K8, NCAA 08, and Madden 10. I wasnt a fan of 2K5. And Madden 05 is a great game, but just not top 5 for me.

I'm voting Madden 05 as representative of the Last-Gen games (my favorite was actually '08 PC). Since the OP's not looking for explanations I'll leave it at that.
