Two messes, APF being the better of the two. Just think of what woulda been different for BackBreaker had they not went ahead with forcing that camera angle? Or sticking with those goof-*** player models? People told them not to do it and they just refused to listen, but they did do a lot of other things people asked for, same thing with 2K, so we gotta give'em SOME credit.

But anyway direct input is better than indirect input cause you have a better shot at gettin your point across clear. Leaving it up to chance is just leaving it up to chance that they searched forums and understood everything and dont need any frame of reference or explanation. No point in leaving anything to chance when we have the internet and tons of free ways to communicate. These dudes just dont realize what theyre doin with this, thats all this really is.
Both those games were working with tiny budgets compared to most projects. Backbreaker had something like 12 guys working on it. APF was a ported 2k5 that 2k worked on for less than a year with a small crew as well. I expect this game is on a smaller than average budget too.

My point is these companies may not have had the time/funds to deliver what the community wanted. I'm sure if 2k could go back and do it over, some sort of franchise mode would've made it into their attempt.

At this point, I'll just wait and see what's delivered. Feedback isn't always good either. EA is constantly changing madden locomotion from the too twitchy zig zag to unresponsive players running out of bounds after 5 steps instead of turning upfield. I blame that mostly on the constant struggle to please the SIM or tourney players requests.

So at this point, I'll just see what they deliver. I traded in madden 2 months ago because I've played it every year for a decade and it bores the hell out of me these days. If this is a new cpu game or console game, then fantastic. If it's a mobile then I'll give it a shot and see what they delivered. Whatever it is, it's something new and that's enough for me to take a chance on it.

It wasn't in the budget to put up a free internet post? C'mon yo.

Its not like the game is going to be completely featureless, so they had plenty of opportunities between now and when they started building this to ask something, even when they announced it last year. Yeah, they're posting heads now, but what can we do with a doggone head?

Time isn't free, and is much more expensive to a smaller team.

It's not expensive at all to make a single post on the internet saying "hey guys, give us some team names", and then step away.

But if their budget is that bad, they better grab everything not nailed down and get the hell outta there right now!

We know next to nothing right now. They posted a picture of reliant stadium so it might use only NFL teams and not have a build your team option (budget). Or they might have an option to name teams whatever you want and audio will call them by the city or state. Who knows. Team names and color schemes aren't that difficult anyways. There's a thousand colleges and pro sports examples to use.

                    @bringbacksimfootball's joking.

This thread is starting to crack me up.

I hope we get pleasantly surprised though. I think we could all use it after the decade we've had to deal with.

This phantom has more heft than 2K making another football game, but how much more?

Ok I can pretty much find anything. Damon posted this picture

So with a little research I found "RUNWAY SAN FRANSICO."

                          main page:
                          http://runway.is/

Follow this page: It has the companies at the location.
                          http://runway.is/community/

More than likely this is a start-up company not 2k.

Yeah, I found that a few days ago, shared office space and the igloo were key to my Google Fu.

Shared office space in a startup incubator almost certainly rules out EA/2k/Sony.

That is wild man. Some of the tech dropping in the next year just looks like a faster leap than I expected. I'm ready though. Its time for that next level. Lets go.
