Meh. I'm not a Big enough fan of football to play a non NFL game. Unless the game allows you to totally recreate the NFL with editors or mods, I wouldn't be interested. I went from midnight to 6 with this screenshot release. The wait continues on to 2016Comment

It will be a 2015 game, assuming the title follows the course of Madden's logic.Focus on your goal, whatever it is, however many there are. Ignore the naysayers, cause naysayers 'gonna naysay.Comment

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
My thing is , im not a big enough NFL fan to keep getting F'd by the only game they back. Im about two things good gameplay and good Online Franchise. I could care less the names of teams or players. Matter of fact , i like the draft classes on madden now they ended the cheat sheets, and none of those guys are real players. i couldnt really care about players names. Its about building players, and teams in online franchise which is all i play . Im ready for some competition and ill gladly support this game if it has good gameplay and good online franchise featuresComment

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
The game has to be around for multiple years first for that to happen. It can't be a one-and-done project like the last two non-EA football games, and it will have to somehow distinguish itself from those two attempts.
That's a tall order.

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
Think about the genius of the strategy - Joe Montana tweets out some not so cryptic shot at Madden (commonly referred to as a yearly roster update) with; #more than a roster update. Then a pic, and some poorly "coded" messages on twitter, then a mo-cap session. Now at that point right there this forum is buzzing - that is marketing brilliance - low cost, big impact, and directly hitting your target audience.
Even before this screen shot you could not hit any Madden related sites without reading something about this game, be it the actual tidbits or the post here by "someone who knows the guy, behind the guy, who knows a guy, that knows a guy who is directly involved". The screen shot comes out and now the speculation is even more fevered and they have not really said anything. That is just incredibly intelligent marketing.
It could backfire, especially if there is no license, but really they have the Madden community foaming at the mouth.
I don't think you can look at the screen shot and say, definitively "they have no NFL agreement in place". Maybe the screen shot is from a legends vs legends game, or a create a team mode, or some Ultimate Team knockoff.
Or maybe, it is an unlicensed game - which has its own merits, depending on where you view the concept from.
Given how all this started and the way in which the discussion is going I can see it going either way.
I will be ticked the heck off if this some tablet only game, but otherwise I am enjoying the speculation, the anticipation, and the slightly feisty nature of the back and forth of "it is not licensed, look at those hideous unis" & "that guy who knows a guy, who knows a guy, behind the guy, who knows a guy, that knows The Guy, and posted on OS - said it is an NFL game"
Good times, good times...Comment

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
Unlicensed games are fine with me bc I care more about how the game plays on the field. Loved APF but the lack of a multi year franchise mode killed it for me. Backbreaker's Road to Backbreaker mode is awesome (promotion and relegation like soccer) but the gameplay camera angle killed the game for me.
If JM 16 has team customization and individual player customization there's a possibility I will end up loving it.Comment

- no franchise mode
- lack of adjustable camera angles
- lack of customization

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
Damon has stated that Franchise would be the soul of this game..... So i feel pretty confident it will be an in depth franchise and honestly online at that. Time will tell, but i dont care if i dont see NFL teams or players. Gimme good gameplay , and a good franchise mode and im in . Period. I dont buy madden cause its nfl teams, i buy it cause i dont have any other football options and i love football.Comment

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
Honestly...I want it to be NFL Licensed but not really because of the players. I enjoy drafting players more than playing with the NFL rosters so I'd get over the real players part...But I hate generic stadiums and uniforms. I honestly want this to be an NFL game just for those facets alone.Comment

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
All I want is the gameplay to be more like APF than Madden with a good franchise mode and customization. The graphics are obviously much better than APF and it definitely has a lot more going for it than Backbreaker so there's reason for excitement.Comment
